The Downfall Raid Addon Pack

RaidPack! The following is the The Downfall Raid Addon Pack, as part of the Downfall Handbook. A full description of what each addon does will be included in here later. Just click the picture to the left to get going!
The following are a list of the included addons a quick summary of what they do:
- BanzaiAlert: Yells at you when you have aggro.
- BigBrother: Tells everyone who has MD, breaks a sheep or hasn't flasked.
- BigWigs: Boss timers and other boss functionality
- CooldownCount: Puts the actual cooldown timer text on your buttons
- CraftList2: Scans all your tradeskills on all your toons and allows you to report back to guildies when they type !craft itemname. To search for bracen enchants, type !craft enchant bracer, for example.
- EasyMother: Mother Shahraz boss mod
- Fizzle: Shows you the durability of all your equipped items on the character pane.
- Grid: The only raid frames you'll ever need. For more information and details about configuration, please read the following: http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/01/22/raid-rx-unkicking-butt-a-grid-story...
- GridLayoutForHealers: Gives you custom layouts like 10, 25, 40, by class, by tanks, etc
- GridStatusRaidDebuff: Shows you those massive player-killing debuffs that raid bosses like to hit raiders with. Requires a little config to work: Grid ->Configure-> RaidDebuff->Enable, then Grid->Frame->Center Icon -> check "Raid Debuff".
- GridStatusHotStack: Shows a little, progressively-colored dot in the upper right corner of grid to indicate the number of HoTs (Renew, Regrowth, Rejuv, Lifebloom) on that unit. This allows our healers to make smart decisions like "Does this HoT'd player really need my power heal or could I put it somewhere else where it will do the most good? Should I just let the HoT heal them up?"
- GridStatusKalecgos: Shows a pretty little count down icon for the Kalecgos curse
- Omen: Threat meter. Don't be at the top. Unless you're the tank.
- ORA2: Raid leading and communication addon
- PallyPower: Paladins have 5 buffs, with 2 different durations. Two of these buffs can have up to 5 talent points put into each. With 9 classes to buff and 4 paladins per night in raid, that's over 2700 unique permutations of paladin->buff->duration->raider. Yes, you need an addon to assign, track and maintain the optimal buffs on a raid.
- RatingBuster: Converts things like "crit rating" to actual percentages for your level.
- SmartRes: One of the biggest wastes of time in a raid is getting everyone ressed between wipes. SmartRes communicates with other users of the addon and prevents you from overlapping res's on the same person. Just press the button and everyone resses a different dead, non-released raider. This mod is REQUIRED for all priests, shammies and paladins. Yeah, even if you dps, you res.
- Tankalyze: Some decent tank helpers
- Violation: Our Damage meter
- WhoDrop: Click an item to see who drops it
NOTE: If you'd like to keep these mods up to date without having to re-download this raid pack every day, just use the WoW Ace Updater

Submitted by Dufe on Tue, 02/12/2008 - 03:08.It would be nice if some of the other mod experts in the guild would write up some quick "How-To" or "Getting Started" type guides for mods in the pack with which they are familiar. (Maybe with some screenshots and pointers for optimization.) This would help save Garreth some valuable time. I'll look into doing a couple myself over the next few days.
That would absolutely rock.

Submitted by Dufe on Tue, 02/19/2008 - 09:24.I was just looking over the list of mods in the Raid Pack in preparation for writing a couple short guides and noticed a few that might be good additions in a future version of the pack.
1. Demon - Gives you a small, movable frame that shows whether or not the specified debuffs are up on the target, as well as the number of total debuffs on the target. By default it tracks things like Thunder Clap, Demoralizing Shout, Warlock Curses, etc, but you can configure it to show any debuff. May not be needed for everyone, but a great tool for raid leads/warlocks at the very least.
2. GridStatusHots - Raiding next to a druid has prompted me to suggest this one for ALL healers. While its primary purpose is for a hot based healer to track their own hots, it can also show any healer the total number of hots on a target at any given time. Some of our non-hot healers have been "sniping" alot of heals that hot healers were already on top of. Seems like this wastes mana and healing time that could be spent healing others in heavy raid healing fights. Maybe it could make a difference in keeping a few more raiders alive, maybe not, I don't know.
3. GridStatusMissingBuffs. We have certain buffs that never seem to be completely up after a "full buff" call. IMO all classes with a raid buff need to get this and set it up for their class's buff. Makes buffing sooo easy. The other option: setup your class's buff in X-Raid status. The only issue with this is that it will call for some unneeded buffs. (AI on warriors/rogues for example)

I think we had GridStatusHots in there for awhile, I may need to re-add it. Nothing can make you a better healer than watching your raid's HoTs and letting them do their work. That is advanced healing and it's how you survive in Hyjal/BT: let your druids/priests do their work.
I had GridMissingBuff on there too for awhile, I think it's time to give it a look.

Submitted by garreth on Mon, 03/03/2008 - 11:46.I've updated the raid pack to include GridStatusHoTStack. This shows us all Renew, Regrowth, Rejuv and Lifebloom stacks on the Grid frames. This allows our raiders to make smart decisions about whether or not they should be healing a raider that has a HoT on them.
