Making Aidin's Professions Useful
Submitted by Aidin on Fri, 07/25/2008 - 14:49.
I'm a glutton for punishment...I max out a profession and realize something else would have been smarter...or lvl an alt and rearrange and start all over...lol
I realized that I have to buy herbs way to much. Aidin was an herbalist...but there's only so many herbs between the Summoning Stong/Flight Path and the instances....she never really goes anywhere but 5, 10, and 25 mans. So there sits a 375 profession that is absolutely useless.....
Then there's Friks...Who flys around on her epic flyer, kills horde, skins clefthoof leather for phat bank while waiting on arenas to pop. I can't count the times where I go "ooooh Dreaming Glory!...fuck can't pick it"
So off to unlearn some professions...Friks is now an herbalist (322 atm) and Aidin and Alchemist (315 atm)
My plan is to have them both maxed by Saturday...I will be pot spec'ed. So if you have pots you need made...pls pls pls let me make them for points, or discoveries!
Now for my nonsense - I'm gonna track my goals and progress in this blog so I don't lose the tiny piece of paper it would be on otherwise..lol
If you have any mats or CDs you'd be willing to help out with I'll owe you big times!

"Paladins are the healers who really get left behind. They were the kings of healing in early Burning Crusade, but the most efficient way to use them in Sunwell is quite sadly having them outside of the raid buffing people."

Photoshop for Dummies Complete!!
Submitted by Aidin on Tue, 05/06/2008 - 14:39.
Well I took my final for my PhotoShop class yesterday. Finally done...sad thing is I didn't learn much that I didn't already know. I taught myself basics back with PhotoShop ver. 5, and this class went over the basics... /sigh. Oh well 1 prerequisite down!!
So I debated on weather or not to post my final project. I wasn't really thrilled with it..but when we shared them in class..they all oooh'ed and ahhh'ed and my professor was thoroughly impressed. He even mentioned it again last night after the final exam how well I did on this. (I was the only one who made the book...look like a book...lol)
I can't wait to learn more about how to do COOL SHIT!
The Assignment:
Create a book cover and illustrate the book you have read and enjoyed using photography and text. Illustrations can be used, but must incorporate some photography. Once you are done with your book, create a web splash to tell about or sell your book. Splash in not meant to be functional, just a PSD version of a web site.
Final Project - Book Web Splash
Now only the Algebra final remains!
My first "real" assignment for Digital Imaging I
Submitted by Aidin on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 19:18.
So far school has been a walk in the park. My algebra class is cake..and my digital imaging (photoshop for nubs) class is a snooze fest for me. Thus far all of the assignments have been lame lame lame. Finally we were given something that could challenge me just a bit.
The assignment:
Pick your favorite poem and use no less then 3 images (either yours or one found on the web) to illustrate your poem.
The end result:
I'm no where near the level that Blizzare is with his awesome dipiction of Atar's band's cd cover...however I did draw inspiration from that image. It just fit so well with the concept of my poem.
Invictus: My first "real" project for my Photoshop for Nubs class.
