Well here we go again. I have been meaning to blog about my rogue for awhile and during this lovely econ class I now am.

First of all the title of the blog. Every toon I am I find represents some Bond theme song. For both Dragonspears it was Live and Let Die. For my rogue it is A View to a Kill. Yes I am a nerd and I admit it.

That being said, lets get to the nitty gritty on the various rogue stuff I have gotten so far.

1: Saedo is your friend, pestering him often makes rogue life easier. Or at least picking his brain for knowledge often makes life easier.

2: Mutilate is fun as hell, but damn it sucks in a 2 v 1 situation. Life without cooldowns is tough. Ok and seeing the words "you have to be behind your target to do that."

3: On average you can kill a hordie 3 times before they bring their main out.

4: If its plate you bleed it, for everything else stun it

5: Shadowstep is nice leveling up, but if you wanna solo escort quests Blade Flurry is your friend.

6: Sub>Mutilate>Combat in my personal opinion. However I think my rogues current spec of 11/22/22 has to be the easiest things have gone yet. THat might just be the extra talent points though.

7: Without shadowstep fighting frost mages is just as bad as fighting a frost mage on a warrior. IF the mage knows what they are doing.

8. Class timers makes watching your S&D in instances easy mode.

9: I still don't understand how some rogues can live without Camoflage and Master of Deception.

This is something that has bothered me for awhile, so I supposed I'd get into it here.

About a week ago I was on <Kill Order>'s vent horde side, when one of their former hunters (who had transfered off the server to a guild in BT/MH). The hunter stated that I did not know when I was talking about when I responded to his statement of "ya I killed someone with only my 2 swords and a bow." I quipped back with "Well hunters can solo Illidan at lvl 65 and thats the reason that the hunters can't use his Warglaives."

Long story short, I was told that I didn't know shit about the class and having a 70 hunter on the arena test realm (which I don't) doesn't make me an expert. I was told to go kill Illidan and then maybe I'd know what I was talking about.

Now as far as the hunter goes, he knows nothing about me, as the only toon I have that is older than my hunter is my original paladin. I also know for a fact that given a head start, if a hunter knows what they are doing they can normally kite someone to death. This however is all beside the point.

Ah yes, Retribution, a path that few think about following, fewer take, and the fewest gear right.

Ret PvE gear often comes at the price of plate dps instance drops, where Int becomes a luxury and the set bonuses are a joke.

With so many percentage based talent, ret scales well with gear, the catch becomes though where do we get that gear.

Todays look will be at easily attainable gear to quickly allow for raid utility to be brought into a raid. Without Further ado, I give you, the items!

Head:

[Furious Gizmatic Goggles]Perhaps the easiest of all as I have been working on it since I came back to this server at level 46 and started leveling again. The Plate DPS goggles from engineering provide a well balanced helm that will last for a long amount of time. Plus a great pvp rogue finder and pve primal finder.

Neck:

[Mithril Chain of Heroism] This lovely piece out of the Chess Event in Karazan provides for a lovely set of stats for those who like smashing things :D Also remember Ret paladins when specced for PvE gain 2.2 AP per 1 Str.

Shoulders:

Craftable, the [Ragesteel Shoulders] are good shoulders for being a blue. These shoulders have hit, crit, stam and str as well as 2 yellow sockets and a crit socket bonus. These could last until a T4 shoulder drop (T4 LOLZ) or possible later PvP Item. It is still questionable whether even the Gladiator Shoulders would be an upgrade.

Back:

WTB [Vengeance Wrap] PST! Other things that might last until Vengence Wrap would be Royal Cloak of Arathi Kings or Cape of the Dark Reavers.

Chest:

My Current Chest Piece is an extremely good one. And Will last Until Glad S1 or T4 at the earliest :D
