Want in SCII beta? Now might be your chance.
Ewiges — Mon, 04/19/2010 - 19:51
So if you've been trying to get into SCII but just haven't, this post is
for you.
So first off, there is rumor of a huge invite wave coming. A huge SCII
patch is due for the end of April and that is to coincide with a full
beta reset and an rumored invite wave.
The star-craft wave book been giving about 50 beta keys away a day.
Through out the day they will say incoming keys in 10 minutes. In
roughly 10 minutes they post a picture with keys. These keys may be
written backwards, squiggly, or missing digits.
Team Liquid (the pro/elitest forum) recently got 50 beta keys. Blizzard
liked the way they gave now out and just gave them 500 beta keys. Head
over there for more information.

My Dramatic Conclusion!!!!
Ewiges — Tue, 04/13/2010 - 17:34
Well ladies and gentlemen, friends and enemies, beloved group 5 healers, and face-in-floor fellow rogues; the time has finally come.
So I've been looking at this date for about 4 months now, and been thinking about this post for about a week. April 15th (Thursday) will mark the date when my account expires. As most of you know I've rarely logged in since 2010, and my WoW career practically ended with the end of Burning Crusade when I retired from raiding.
Now I'd love to keep my account up just to log in, say hello, see familiar players, and play peggle; however, I have not paid for a WoW account for several years now and Blizzard did not send me a Christmas card this year (Blizzard x-mas cards = 1 free year). So until further notice I will not be logging into the realm of Azeroth anymore.
On the contrary, it looks like I may be getting a free blizzcon ticket (though some of you know how every year it seems like that but it has fallen through sometimes). So those attending Blizzcon I may see you there. If Blizzard gives me a Cataclysm copy I will probably casually play again (got a free Wrath copy). I also read the forums daily so I won't be a stranger.
My Dramatic Conclusion:
So as many of you know I've always been the blamer when people got hacked. "Well have you ever given your password to anyone", "When was the last time you changed it", "Do you share a computer", etc etc...
Well playing since beta, my luck has finally come back on me. Although I haven't logged in for several weeks my account got compromised a few days ago. Knowing my account was expiring soon I keep getting these feelings to make sure my reoccurring billing is turned off. I got this hunch the other day and went to log into account management to be greeted with incorrect password. So I reset the password and try to log into game to get a banned notice. About half an hour later I get an email that says auto-banned for having possible virus/trojon/keygen on my computer as a safety precaution. The time of the unban was exactly 24 hours from the current time. Seeing what items were missing, or lack there of, I think I stopped them mid hack. Anyways, posted a GM ticket and saw an email this morning saying all my characters are restored with the list of items.
So what I can't figure out. I searched my computer and came up nil for virus, keygen, trojons, spyware, or anything of the sort. But even if I did have a keygen I haven't logged in for awhile. However, I have logged into SCII beta at least once a day which also uses your b.net account and password. But talking to people it seems like 'Brute Force' can get anyone's account. (So get your damn authenticators if you care about your account).
So thats my story, gonna proof-read, and see ya on the forums but farewell in Azeroth!
StarCraft II Beta Puts South Korea in Economic Freefall
Ewiges — Fri, 02/19/2010 - 00:59
Thursday, February 18, 2010
The newspaper is missing from the doorsteps of homes and hotel
lobbies. The stores are shuttered and the railway, stalled. Inside a
store, a TV flickers the news, but not the local news – reporters never
bothered to show up.
This is South Korea, less than 24-hours after Blizzard released the
StarCraft 2 Beta on an unsuspecting public.
South Korea, known for an exceptionally high national APM rating
(actions per minute), now stands like an ant hill, a barren exterior
enclosing a population busying beneath with menial labor. But while an
ant colony’s actions provide for the greater good, these South Koreans
engage in self-centered Player vs Player matches, unflappable in their
pursuit of nothing more than a commendable win/loss ratio.
“There is no time for productivity,” says a young man, his fingers
clacking on a keyboard. “By day, we practice. By night, we humiliate
Americans.”
Incumbent President Lee Myung-bak, the last man, twists open the
folding shades to his penthouse loft and observes the streets below him,
noticing the sudden surplus of stray cats. It will be only hours, he
suspects, before felines take the city — days before South Korea becomes
a kitten nation.
Not every citizen received a beta key. As President Lee Myung-bak
peddles his bicycle across the empty city, he hears screams followed by
gunshots, then almost-silence of digits clicking at hot keys. The
streets are quiet as personal wars rage in the homes. Brothers fighting
brothers. Mothers slapping daughters.
The President’s bicycle rolls around the wooden barricades of Kunsan
Air Base, the United States military installment. Myung-bak has had his
share of problems with the installment: that it is run by a couple brats
from Texas, a place he knows and cares little about. These “cowboys”
are his only hope now. Them. Their fort. And their military-grade EMP.

Battleforge, shameless shoutout so I can try for referral system
Ewiges — Fri, 12/11/2009 - 18:24
So Battleforge is (now) a free to play game, its basically a mix between a RTS and TCG (trading card game).
It released as a regular game but now became a f2p, you start as a demo and can unlock the game after 2-4 hours of play. However, buying the game still reaks its benefits,
Anyways, they came out with a referral system today so I gotta post.
You can download the game through steam, look for battleforge demo, or go to www.battleforge.com
The game is distributed by EA but is not made by them, made by Phenomic.
Basically the game is like an RTS in general, however your units are dependant on a deck of 20 cards you made before each game. There are about 40 scenario games each with 3 difficulties and random games woth a slider scale of difficulties. There are several haundred cards, and 2 PvP dueling systems (one costs $9 for 6 weeks or months, not sure)
So if you decide you play hit me up, we have to play at least 1 game together, you gotta enter my email when you make your character, bikersbattleforge@yahoo.com and you have to get to lvl 4 (about 2-4 hours of play).
I'll gather some youtube vids of the game.

Video Game Failures, a growing list.
Ewiges — Wed, 11/04/2009 - 15:01
So I'm starting a list of current fails in the video game industry. This is a growing list and if you wish to contribute please comment below and I will update the post. Fails are in no particular order, these are just a few to start it off.
Diablo 2 patch 1.13 and ladder reset. Stated to be out in 2 weeks (April) it has still yet to come.

MechWarrior 4 free release in honor of 25th anniversary. Announced in July, all it said was "soon".

Duke Nukem Forever, I think we all know the gist of the story. Scrapped, scrapped, and scrapped again.
Daikatana, with a character named superfly johnson, how could this be a failure? Another case of bad planning, too much spending, internal politics, and switching engines.
Best firework show ever (disney halloween '09)
