So most people think its bad when others forget your birth day. How about forgetting its your own birthday until your dad calls up asking what you want to do for your B-day at 7pm.... Yeah it happened to me. Happy late B-day me!
Btw I went and ate some sushi for dinner and then watched The Express... AWESOME food and a GREAT movie.
WTB Tech help with a power supply
Vulk — Wed, 09/03/2008 - 20:28
For those who don't already know the power core in my computer finally died out. It was inevitable since I got my new graphics card a few months back. the stock power core wasnt built to handle that sort of power requirements. It figures it would burn out right as classes started so that iw would not only throw a wrench in my raiding gears but my acedemic gears aswell. >.<
I took it to my godfather's computer repair shop just to confirm that my suspicions were correct, they were. He also recommended what I was already thinking. Upgrading to a more powerful one. I bough me an Antec 500 watt power supply but something is wrong. It has all the proper connections that my computer requires but the only thing htat happens when I turn on my computer is the fans spin at their max speed. No boot up screen, hell no screen at all. Just the sound of the fans slicing the air.
My question to those that are out there able to help is this: Is there some compatibility issue that I am not aware of? All I know is that you need the proper connections and I have all those.
My computer is your basic HP Pavilion from 2 years ago, The only thing I have added is my Nvidia 8600gt video card. If you need more detailed specs I would be glad to give them to you.
Vulk's plans for Wrath (with a little edumacation on retribution)
Vulk — Sat, 08/23/2008 - 16:31
Now I'm going to make it official. I'm sure many of you have heard me mention this before but Vulk will be going Ret to level to 80, and then staying Ret for Raids. That Right, I wont be around to heal for you and play fun games like "How Low Can You Go?" (tanks are going to miss that one). I will be there to pew pew for you all in raids.
Lately I have made browsing WoW Insider and MMO Champion making it my twice daily routine. I have been drooling over the paladin changes since they first announced them. Of course there is a nerf coming for damage but its still beta and as of now nobody's damage has been equalized. Bottom line though is that they have really done a 180 and take a deep look to fix the Ret tree. They have changed almost everything about retribution paladins and have tuned it to a 100% viable class spec now!
To begin I will go over some of the changes they have implemented to improve the spec. I say some of them because I am bound to miss a few because,as I said, there is so damn many changes lol.
Starting with fundamental changes:
Seals: They have completely reworked the seal and judgment system. Seals now last 2 min and are no longer consumed by judging. That means that paladins no longer have to judge and reseal every 8 seconds saving immense amounts of mana. In addition seals proc from Crusader Strike and, our new ability, Divine Storm adding a decent amount of damage.
Judgments: They have removed the Judgment spell we all know today and have replaced it with three different spells that all ad a debuff. Judgment of Light (restore health), Judgment of Wisdom (restore mana), and Judgment of Justice (prevent fleeing and limiting movement speed). For ret this means that we no longer have to seal, judge then toss up our damage seal allowing us to focus on dps.
Tales of the Past

I do not remember how i stumbled upon this movie but I did, and it is amazing. I just finished watching all 2 hours 25 minutes of it and I am flabbergasted. It completely smashed my expectations of being 'just a fan video'. The first section is abundantly clear that an amature made it, fortunately it is only 15 minutes long but contains valuable back story. The second part was vastly improved with the advent of voice overs and slightly better editing. Then there is the third section that is just amazingly well done and if it wasn't for the graphical limitations of WoW it would be movie quality. Over all this is as good as, if not better than most movies you can go rent from BlockBuster. And its FREE! I give it two thumbs up.
I am no expert on Warcraft lore and I don't pretend to be, but there is defiantly quite a bit of lore involved in this movie. It may all be lore or may have some creative aspects added to it, I'm not sure. My friend who knows all is currently visiting family in Lebanon (or consulting with his fellow terrorists as I like to say :P) so I can't ask him exactly how much of the story line is lore. None the less this is a movie that demands you grab some popcorn and a soda, sit down, get comfortable and enjoy.

My return/stay to raiding
Vulk — Tue, 08/05/2008 - 13:55
Not too long ago you all read my resignation letter from raiding. As it turns out there have been some fortuitous changes in my class schedule. Before I had a class Monday and Wednesday and another class on Tuseday and Thursday that overlapped with raid times. At earliest (MW) I would have gotten out of class 30 mins after raid had already started. However, as the deadline for payments approached my adviser called me and let me know that some spots had opened up in both classes that I had wait listed on.
I seized the chance to take those spots so that I can get off earlier. Both of these classes start at 10:00am and therefore free up my evenings! My last classes now end at roughly 5:00pm (4:00 server) so I will be back with plenty of time to spare! Hopefully I will still be able to fill my old raid spot and continue the fun I have had with you guys. If not, hopefully i can weasel my way back into a raid spot like i did back in SSC :P
