I'll start by hitting the big changes and then get into more details later.  First say goodbye to the faceroll rotation and say hello to a very rigid and unforgiving rotation.  I am loving the holy power mechanic so far and I have to say that its going to be really easy to spot Paladins who know what they are doing and those that have no clue.  

I'll get into talent changes, stats, reforging this weekend when I have time to be detailed.  

Most of the information is from either my own findings or reading from EJ_RET_4.0.1

Rotation.

I dont have tons of data to go by yet but I have spent a lot of time on the target dummy and I feel like I have the basic rotation down.  First off Crusader Strike (CS) is our main way of getting Holy Power (HP).  Every time it hits we get 1 HP.  With my current gear + talent (I'll get into this later) my CS comes off CD about every 3 seconds.  This gives me time to react to AoW procs (free instant cast of Exorsim) or , Judge, holy wrath (HW), throw my hammer (if in execute range or if I have wings active).  Templars Verdict (TV) and Divine Storm (DS) our the only DPS finishers we have at level 80 and each should only be used when you have 3 HP.  DS now is only used if you have multiple targets and TV will be the main finisher you use.  Seal of Truth is the dps seal. The 31 point talent Zealotry also consumes HP and should also only be used when you have 3 HP.  This talent allows CS to grand 3 HP instead of just 1 so you will change your rotation accordingly.  Here is what my rotation looks like currently for three different phases of a fight.  

Meat and Potatoes (no heroism, wings, or execute range)

CS filler CS filler CS ..  TV will replace CS or filler if you have 3 holy power  

filler: judge, HW, Exorcism procs.

For procs that appear if its the Mastery proc Hand of Light (TV as though you have 3 HP and doesnt use any HP) its always #1 priority.  If there is AoW proc and I have 3 HP already then its TV then Exorcism.  There is a talent that give a 40% change of gaining HP from Judgements, Exorcism, (others) so you dont want to use a skill if you already have 3 HP and potentially waste that HP.  Sometimes you will find that you will proc 2-3 Hand of light in a row so its important to use them and then get back into the rotation.  

Wings + Zealotry 

hammer CS TV filler CS TV filler CS TV hammer ...

(looking into if it is really best to use zealotry with Wings or not.

This is an easy area to screw up and I'm still working on perfecting it.  I would say that while wings is up hammer hits hard and should be #1 priority.  I may change my mind as I get more data but thats my feeling right now.  Again any TV procs that happen should be consumed right away and exorcism procs should be used as fillers since TV currently hits a lot harder then Exorcism.  

Execute Range

Pretty much the same as Meat and Potatoes except that you use hammer as a filler when its available.

As you can see the old rotation is dead and gone.  

You'll notice that I never mentioned consecrate because its a huge mana dump atm and the damage that it does is almost equal to the mana (2.5k ish).  On multiple targets you'll change out TV with DS and add consecrate (maybe worth it on 4+ mobs) as a filler but otherwise its the same rotation as I stated above.  

I'll get some more in here as time permits.

The boost they gave to us is good.  Not OP good but it puts us close to where we were pre 4.0.1 so that its the new rotation thats hindering damage and not because we are swinging a wet noodle..

Some of you know whats going on at home and its time to put all of my focus there to try and fix things that have been broken for far too long.  I'm not sure if I'll ever really come back. 

I have loved being a part of Downfall for so long and I'm very sad to be leaving a bunch of great people.  I'll still be in IRC most every day at work to shoot the breeze with those of you that use IRC.

I have had a lot of people asking me if I would ever get a 25 going...  The short answer is not right now. 

I'm putting this up because I am curious to see if there are enough people willing and able to be on Friday/Monday to put a 25 man together.  This would NOT be the place to come if your only interested in achievements, but if you like to raid with people who play to have fun then it might be a good fit. 

All loot gets ML'd out to your spec at that time first or to an off spec that you actually will use when coming to my raid.  I don't listen to complaining about loot (except for paks horrible rolls) and I can't stand being talked over in vent when I'm trying to go over a strat or answer someones question in vent.  Either of these could get you kicked from raid or not invited the next week.  I deal with enough children at home so I will not put up with adults acting like children in a game. 

When I started up my 10 man there was 6 of us that wanted to do stuff together since we all hang out together outside of WoW.  I filled the last 4 slots with some people that I have hung out w/ in Downfall for awhile now.  We play for fun, and to see some content that half of the raid wouldn't get to see otherwise.  Many of us still fail at things that might seem easy to many of you (dancing, minding the gap, spores?, and more), but we have gotten through it all.  Even if its been a 2 man finishing of Heigan, or a ghoul and tank finishing off the last of Lotheb we are having fun and laughing at the dead gnomes on the floor =D

If after reading this you're still interested in getting a 25 man going for these two nights post here.  There is no time table for this and I'm hoping that we can talk about stuff here instead of in tells.

And to clearify I'm 100% content is just running my 10 man as it is.  This is just to gauge the actual intrest in another set 25 man for these nights.

Hello all.

I just thought I would let you guys know that I'm still here but just really busy lately.  I'm in my last year of finishing my Masters degree in CS and the work is just being piled on me from all sides.  

I am also helping to get my old guild up and running on Warhammer which has taken alot more time then I thought it would but at the same time its been great getting back in touch with alot of old friends from my 5 years of playing daoc.  If anyone is looking into trying out WAR send me and PM and I'll direct you to where we are set up and hopefully be able to answer any questions you might have about the game and the guild over there.

I should be logging back in next weekend 27th or so to do some mALT stuff or PvP or something.  I hope all is well and I'll talk to you all later.

Hey all.  I have been leveling my Lock up and I want to have the Shadoweave set all ready for him when he gets to 70.  I already have the mats for a few Shadow cloth to be made but I'm looking for some Tailors that are Shadowcloth spec'd and not using thier CD. 

If anyone can help me out either post here or find me in game.
