Vulk's blog
It seems to have been awhile since my last site visit. Anyone game for a mini-meetup?

So it has been awhile since I have been to the website, hell I had forgotten about it until 10 minuites before I began writing this. After what I can imagine has been 12 months since my las visit I have to say one thing: Garreth, the points on the site are broken.
I have lost touch with many of you guys since my school and professional life has taken over, in addition to transferring Vulk to another server so that I could play with some rl friends when time permits. Damn do I miss you guys, especially those that left before I left and now see back on. Whenever I think about an awesome time playing WoW, Downfall is involved 99% of the time, but that has all fallen into "the good old days" of WoW. One of the reasons that I am writing this because I am planning on transferring my druid, Cizin, over to the realm on which Vulk now resides: Firetree.
Now we reach the main reason why I am writing this blog post: You know, I've never had the pleasure of attending one of the annual meetup that downfall holds, and I have only had the pleasure of meeting a select few of you in person (Garreth, Aidin, Grasen) but I do want to change that by possibly creating a mini-meetup. I want to see how many of you guys would be interested before I make this an official event.
In my efforts to get in shape, I have taken up something that I have always wanted to get into, cycling. I have found that I want to do some touring on a bike so for the past few months I have been planning a trip to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons just south of there. Now, for me this would all be by bike from my abode in Colorado, roughly 1200 miles round trip and a little over 3 weeks in duration, but for you guys it could be as simple as driving there and only spending a couple days before returning home. In total I plan on spending a week camping out there and enjoying, well, everything. I'm sure I don't have to remind you guys on all the awesome stuff one can do out doors. Right now I am planning on reaching yellowstone by late May to mid June to give you guys a possible timeframe.
So who is interested? Hell, if anyone else is crazy enough we could meet up somewhere and ride there together.
Good News!

I have bee gone awhile so I thought I would fill you in on how everything has been going. The short answer is Great! Like frosted flakes great! The long answer is well, longer. I got my 4.0 for this semester so my over all GPA is 3.8, but that achievement pales in comparison to being accepted into the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder for Aerospace Engineering!
Well that was a mouth full but none the less awesome! I recently found out that, being somewhat famous for that degree, it is one of their limited enrollment majors. I don't have any statistics on just how limited but they are in the top aerospace engineering universities in the nation. Right up there with MIT and Cal Tech! I can't wait to start classes!
Although classes will start January 11th I still will most likely not be able to play. I'm still looking for a place to live in boulder. And I have to take care of everything needed to transition to my new environment, both at CU and my new home. Hopefully I will get a chance to hop on and talk to everyone, maybe even run a 10 man or something.
New Comp soon. I will be back!

The title says it all! In one to two weeks I should have my new computer and I'm itching to get back to playing wow and talking with you all. I won't have much time to raid like I used to, due to college and work study, but I will likely be around and available on the weekends to do something. I'm thinking about more of a pvp path because the time is more flexible but I'm still down for some 10 mans; I still haven't even seen the Coliseum. See you all soon!

Update: According to FedEx, my computer should arrive this Tuesday! I should have everything installed by the end of the week and I'll hopefully be on Saturday. Woot!
Checking in to see how everyone is doing.

I just wanted to check in with everyone since I have been disconnected from the technological world. My computer is, for all extents and purposes, dead pending funds to get it back up and running again. I have about an hour of computer acces a week. Life seems pretty dull and boring without any regular access to computers, TV and even radio. I have found myself reading alot more than I used to: Instead of burning through a book a week, I burn through one in two or three days now. I'm curently reading The Sigma Protocal by Robert Ludlum and no clue as to what I will be reading next.
I miss WoW, yet this forced break is liberating in its own way. I will more than likely return once I get a working computer again but I will be a lot more casual, especially with classes looming around the corner. So guys, fill me in on what I have missed and leave no details unspoken!
Vulk's Computer is on the Fritz

So as the title suggests, my comp is pretty much next to dead. Over the past couple days I've been battling to get my comp back to 100% operational with little to no success. It used to cease up constantly on boot. I finally got it to boot but it still will cease up every few seconds for 5 to 30 seconds at a time. It even stops calculating the time, as I type this my computer has fallen 22 minutes behind what my phone says after just a couple hours of being on.
It's hard to even run the internet, as I type this it is stuck at the beginning of this sentence as it's trying to figure out wtf to do with all these keyboard inputs. Needless to stay that in this state my comp cant even remotely run wow and is continuing to piss me off. Even steaming you tube seems to be an impossibility at this point. This is probably the end of my raiding career since I won't have the money to get a new computer until student loans come in so I can buy my school comp, unless, of course, I win the lotto or some other miracle happens. But even then, when my loans do come in It will be the fall when my classes start at 6:30pm and continue to 9, so I would be out of the week day raiding game anyway.
Best of luck to you all in KB on those achievements! I wish I was there to complete them all with you guys. As for Existential Rabbit, go ahead and give someone else my permanent spot, though I would love to come back to raid with you all on the weekends if a spot opens and I get my laptop. I obviously cant ask you to save my spot for a couple months.
Why men SHOULD(n't?) buy clothes for their baby.

I got these pictures in an email awhile ago, and, since babies seem to be the hot topic I thought I should share. Here is why only men should be allowed to buy baby clothes:
