Downfall Guild Raid Addon Pack

Click here to download the Downfall Guild Raid Addon pack!
All these addons and more can be managed easily via the Curse Updater (www.curse.com/client). Check it out! Below is a list of the included addons and a quick summary of what they do:
- BanzaiAlert: Yells at you when you have aggro..
- Deadly Boss Mods: Boss timers and other boss functionality
- OmniCC: Puts the actual cooldown timer text on your buttons, and flashes when ability is ready.
- Grid: The only raid frames you'll ever need. For more information and details about configuration, please read the following: http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/01/22/raid-rx-unkicking-butt-a-grid-story/
- GridStatusRaidDebuff: Shows you those massive player-killing debuffs that raid bosses like to hit raiders with. Requires a little config to work: Grid ->Configure-> RaidDebuff->Enable, then Grid->Frame->Center Icon -> check "Raid Debuff".
- GridStatusHoTs: Allows you to set up indicators on on Grid for your HoTs (not just other peoples'). This is great for checking YOUR Lifeblooms, trinket HoTs and Beacon of Light. Very useful in making sure your uptime is 100% and not letting important HoTs fall off.
- Grid Alert: Audible alerts when something you can cleanse hits a raid member.
- Omen: Threat meter. Don't be at the top. Unless you're the tank.
- ORA2: Raid leading and communication addon
- PallyPower: Paladins have 5 buffs, with 2 different durations. Two of these buffs can have up to 5 talent points put into each. With 9 classes to buff and 4 paladins per night in raid, that's over 2700 unique permutations of paladin->buff->duration->raider. Yes, you need an addon to assign, track and maintain the optimal buffs on a raid.
- Quartz: Replaces the castbar with a better bar that allows you to "play" your latency for improved reaction and more casts.
- RatingBuster: Converts things like "crit rating" to actual percentages for your level.
- SmartRes: One of the biggest wastes of time in a raid is getting everyone ressed between wipes. SmartRes communicates with other users of the addon and prevents you from overlapping res's on the same person. Just press the button and everyone resses a different dead, non-released raider. This mod is REQUIRED for all priests, shammies, paladins and druids. Yeah, even if you dps, you res.
Here's a pic of these addons (plus many others) in action:

UPDATE: Deadly Boss Mods is
garreth — Sat, 11/14/2009 - 15:19UPDATE: Deadly Boss Mods is now our boss timer and alert mod. After having used it extensively for a month, it's pretty badass. I've also replaced CoolDownCount with OmniCC.
Time to update this raid
saedo — Sat, 11/14/2009 - 12:30Time to update this raid pack?
Also, just want to put this link out there somewhere, and this thread won't be lost.
This is a page that summarizes all the Latency Fixes, couple involving addons.
http://community.livejournal.com/wow_ladies/11773883.html
Minimizing 25-man disconnects/lag
*This is mainly for those who are suffering disconnects since 3.2.X*
Even
if you're not lagging or DCing yourself, you could be causing issues
for others if you don't update or disable some functions!
(Summarizing this post in the WoW Forums who's source was this ElitistJerks post.)
1) Remove Recount-
Disable Recount Syncing (/recount synch) or disable Recount
(Ami: This was my issue, I switched to Skada and practically all my 25-man lag disappeared.)
2) Disable Blizzard Combat Log-
Right-click
your combat log tab > "Self" > "What happened to me" >
"Everything" > Click on each of those, and then click through each
of the sub-tabs and disable EVERYTHING. Make it so that NOTHING appears
on your combat log.
(Ami: If you run a combat log record for
uploading to World of Logs, this will make it not work, so either have
someone else do it or don't do this step, however, this is reported to
be one of the biggest fixes, so up to you.)
3) Find out what addons from others are spamming you-
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/fu-bar_addon-spam-fu.aspx
This
amazing addon allows you to monitor addon message traffic from your
raid members. What you want to do is to MINIMIZE this traffic. Many
addons have secret "whisper" programs that we cannot see. They whisper
other players in the raid/party for all sorts of information. The
problem is, many of these mods do the whispering extremely
inefficiently, thus leading to massive, MASSIVE spamming of your client
with data.
Main one to look for is Gearscore. However, the
author says he's improved the way it shares info and to make sure
everyone updates to fix it. Several people mention banning Gearscore
from being on during guild raids.
(Be careful: some addons
like LibHealComm(X) have to do it, other addons like X-Perl and
Carbonite and GearScore don't. Carbonite also doesn't have to-
settings, under Privacy, and then turn off all the broadcast
information boxes and channel options.)
4) Latency Improvment-
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13581-LeatrixLatencyFix.html
Lowers
your latency by changing how your computer handles information
acknowledgments. It's amazing. This is NOT an addon, it is a
modification to your computer itself.
Install it, try it for
yourself over a period of a few days. If you aren't happy, remove it.
Make up your own mind. It won't break anything. Most people report a
noticeable improvement in button response times, as well as smoother
mob movement patterns.
(Ami: I went from ~150ms to ~30ms.
Oceanic or overseas players see more significant improvements as shown
in the comments section.)
You really need to add this
saedo — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 12:04You really need to add this mod to the package.
I'm going to run only DBM
garreth — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 12:59I'm going to run only DBM tonight to get a feel for it. If it feels clunkier, slower or more bloated than the new BigWigs then I'm going back to BigWigs.
I played with it a bit. I'm a
garreth — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 16:21I played with it a bit. I'm a little miffed that I don't have any config on the "short" bar. It seems to do a half-hearted version of the big bar. Either way, how do I add raider cooldowns that I want to watch?

And you can config the short and big bars. Size, position, colors, textures, what else did you want?
All of these adjust BOTH bars
garreth — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 16:59All of these adjust BOTH bars at the same time. I'd like the short bar to have it's own settings, like width and height.

Keisjaa — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 15:46Also you'll probably eant to go into the jarraxus mod & disable the inferno notification(notifies you if you're near an infernal) as this gets annoying as hell when they start running around near you
it MIGHT not be so bad for healers who can be farther away
It's much, much better than
Shihli — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 13:26It's much, much better than Bigwigs, if only because it shows boss health bars on fights like Iron Council.
A note, we would need people
saedo — Fri, 10/09/2009 - 16:43A note, we would need people with DBM targetting those mobs for it to sync. So the more there are, the better this is.

The point, as "good" as you are with stock ui, there are limitations that mods can improve upon.
I've rebuilt this post and
garreth — Fri, 04/17/2009 - 01:45I've rebuilt this post and redone the addons list. I've removed CraftList and BigBrother, though you are all free to use those if you want. This should be leaner and cleaner.
