Downfall Guild Meet Up and Box Social 2 (At PAX!) Start: 08/29/2008 - 00:00 End: 08/31/2008 - 23:59 PLANS!!! Call Torvo (message me on here or in-game if you need my number) on Friday when you get into town -- I'll be at PAX until people start arriving. Planning to hang out at Torvo and Epat's place on Friday night (I'll message everyone who RSVPs by Thursday night with our address). Saturday is convention day - we'll all be going to PAX (I think). Dinner event Saturday, 6:30pm at Elephant & Castle -- 1415 5th Ave Seattle, WA 98101. Sunday is another convention day, but it's over early. I don't think everyone is going to PAX, but either way for those staying through Monday we'll have another Dinner/Evening event Sunday, 7:00pm at Rock Bottom Bellevue -- 550 106th Ave Bellevue, WA 98004. $2 beers and Rock Band until close! It was so much fun meeting everyone in Portland this last weekend, plans for the 2nd guild get together are already in the works! This one will be centered around the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Seattle, the weekend of August 29-31. If you've never been to PAX, nay even heard of it, it has become North America's largest open-to-the-public video game trade show since E3 scaled back last year. Check out all the seminars/lectures/tournaments/concerts and more! Lava Crab 10-person Raid Start: 08/31/2008 - 12:00 End: 08/31/2008 - 12:00 Signups are open! Come grab badges, alt gear, etc. The way this works: the raid might be doing either Karazhan or Zul'Aman, based on the wants, needs, and whims of the raiders and the raid organizer (usually myself or Nuitarin). Typically, this raid would be the opposite of whatever was run by Lava Crab on Thursday. That means for example, if Lava Crab does Zul'Aman on Thursday, there's a good chance that we will be doing Karazhan on Sunday. Please note that signing up DOES NOT GUARANTEE a raid invite. In particular, if the raid is doing Zul'Aman, raid balance and class balance must be established for the raid to "work" well. However, signing up DOES indicate your desire to attend and thus you will have a better shot at getting in in the first place. Raid : mAlt Gruul/Mag-lootpinata-theridon Start: 08/31/2008 - 16:00 End: 08/31/2008 - 18:00 MALT 25 MAN RAID TIME - 4:00 SERVER EVERY SUNDAY. There are very few "rules" associated with the mALT runs, but there are a few guidelines: All gear is ROLLED by classes that want it, no matter if you are an Alt or a main. [Dragonspine Trophy] is the exception to this rule. This item will ALWAYS go to a MAIN RAIDER first. This means your are a dependable member of Hamfist or LF1M. Once those people have acquired their DST it will go to roll for mains vs. alts just like everything else. There is no stipulation of rolling for gear that is within your spec. If you have T4 Shoulders, and want the T4 shoulder token for PvP gear, you have the right to roll against someone who may not have gotten their T4 token yet. (not everyone has alts...but everyone has respec options) And if you are a healing priest and want dps gear, roll on it. The spirit of mALT is to get gear not just for our alts, but get off spec gear that you may not be able to acquire in your normal raid. I will STOP doing these events the minute I begin to get QQs about who gets invites and who does not get invites. I've seen an increasing number of people unhappy cause they didn't get in, or cause they come every week and one week they don't get a spot. I do this for FUN...I do this for YOU. I'm not inviting toons in blues and greens that can not hold their own. I will give you one shot in sub-par gear. If you fail miserably I'll kindly ask you to go to Kara...get your gear, get your badge gear, THEN sign up for mALT 25 mans. Just cause it's mAlt, doesn't mean we LIKE repair bills. Kills should be quick and easy, and quick and easy just doesn't come with ppl who can't pull their own weight. How Invites work: 1. Invite tanks 2. Invite healers 3. Invite necessary classes to complete the instance (ie Locks, mage tank ect.) Hyjall Start: 08/31/2008 - 18:00 End: 08/31/2008 - 22:00 Hyjall roll run. Invites will go out baised on class ballance as well as main raiders takeing priority on invites. Loot will be rolledfor main spec with main raider priority LF1M: Extra Illidan Night Start: 08/31/2008 - 18:15 End: 08/31/2008 - 21:35 I'd like to see if can get LF1M together for another night of Illidan shots. If we can't get enough people I'll call it off. I know Labor Day is Monday and folks will be out of town, but we really need more time on Illidan. I know we can get through P2 and P3 without a doubt. We need to work on P4 big time. Sign up if you'd be game for some Sunday night Illidan.
