Grats Downfall on Sarth 3D 10-man and "Glory of the Raider!"

As the title suggests, Downfall recently killed Sartharion with all three drakes up on 10-man raid mode. That makes us server 3rd (might be 5th, but I believe it's 3rd) for that achievement alone.
On top of that, five of us (Deadhli, Nuitarin, Disrupta, Luminaire, and Saedo) completed our "Glory of the Raider" achievements, completing all available 10-man content on its hardest modes, resulting in a Plagued Proto-Drake mount - a 310% speed mount, the fastest possible in the game.
Raid Salmon Recruiting

Do you want to raid? Can you raid Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 6pm server to 9pm server? If so read this.
Raid Salmon has been short healers and ranged dps for the past two weeks of raiding. We need dedicated folks that want to raid and be apart of an amazing team.
Salmon is looking for full time raiders and part time raiders. We always need fill-ins at any given time. So if you are unable to raid on every one of our raid nights we can still use you from time to time. As far as full time positions this is what we're looking for:
Healers
- 1 Holy Paladin
- 1 Resto Druid or Resto Shaman
Ranged DPS
- 1 Elemental Shaman
- 1 Shadow Priest or Mage
If can fill any of these rolls and are interested please let me know. You can reply here or get up with me personally via WoW, message, in game mail, etc.
Mountain O Mounts for Donut!!!!!

At around 4:10am on February 23, 2008, I gained the "Mountain O' Mounts" WoW achievement. This is a server first for Gorgonnash (kudasai had 98, suck me!).
So, just another notch for DF. First 6 minute Maly, now this. NOTHING can stop us!!(except of course dying during immortal runs). Anyways, it looks just like the cold weather training mount, but if you wanna see me fly around on it pst me in game.
I've also posted a screenshot, and it matches my gear really well so thats pretty cool.

6-Minute Malygos
With a full 38 seconds left in the fight, Downfall hits one of our last raiding achievements before 3.1. Grats to everyone who showed up and grats to the guild apps that came in and got one of the hardest achievements in the game!
Thank you Deadhli and others who helped a ton with the new strat , couldn't have done it without you.

Finally got Sartharion with all three drakes up tonight after about 4 nights of shots. It's a great fight that really challenges movement, synnergy and paying attention.

Just a quick update:
Did Sartharion with one drake up last week, came in tonight and dropped it (him? her?) with two drakes up. It's quite challenging and requires us to not stand in fire, something we're usually not... great at.
Grats Kitten Brigade and Downfall, let's make it Sarth3D very soon.

Grats to all those in Raid: KItten Brigade! Now it's time to work on achievements and speed runs!
This is a big GRATS! to Luminaire, Downfall's first 80! I think he was also the realm-first 80 Hunter as well! Also, GRATS! to Shinso, Realm First Something Or Other That Has To Do With Cooking! Keep it up, this week is shaping up to be tons of fun for everyone!

In other news, all bank privileges have been inscreased for ranks above "Intern". We'd really like to see you guys pulling out anything you need. Go nuts! We bought a fifth bank slot finally, so that shoud free up some room.
I've scheduled a 10-man Naxx for 4pm this Saturday. I know we'll have plenty of people at or near 80, if I'm not actually myself ;) Also, don't be afraid to make events on the site to get groups set up for instances as you grind. It's there, use it!
Getting Ready for Wrath

Downfall has been around in one form or another for almost four years. We've seen some tremendous changes in that time - growing from a small group of dedicated players to the behemoth powerhouse that we are today. We ended WoW 1.0 having just barely tasted high endgame and we finish out The Burning Crusade as one of only a handlful of guilds to have completely cleared the game. What's more important is that we run as a cohesive and helpful group of people who really enjoy their time together.
Wrath will be out on November 13th, and Downfall will be setting the standard by which all other guilds on the server will be measured. Our goal is not to lead in "server firsts", but rather as a leader in how a community can have fun and work together to do cool things.
That said, the first raid will be starting up a mere four or five weeks after the expansion is released. I encourage all of you who want to dedicate the time and commitment, to please sign up here:

Balancing enjoyment, community and progression is tough. If you're not a raider, I encourage you to be active on the site and helpful in game. We need all our members participating and contributing. Get ready for November 13th, because it's going to be a wild ride!
