You dont seem to have any raid-frames or decursive set up, although its very possible its hidden behind your bag/bank addon.  Just wondering how you handle decursing in BG's.  Also what do you use to track your debuffs on multiple targets.  Most of those dont present themselves at all until they are actively trackign something, so im guessing you have something i just cant see. 

What type of raiding enviroment are you looking for?  I dont know how the ten-mans are looking right now in relation to mages, but the 25-man generally has more then enough.  Would you (as things stand now atleast, blizz loves throwing mages for a loop 3-4 times per expansion) be willing to switch to arcane or frost in a raid enviroment if needed?  DBM or some variant is generally required for raiding, but yet again, it might just not be showing up in your UI pic.  (Note, a better UI pic wouldnt hurt, if you cant get one from a raid or BG, atleast a target dummy would show a lot better how your set up looks in combat.)

Demsy never said that he was 'the best mage on the server'. He also is attempting to answer questions although most of the people with no reason (posted, of course there is reason) have elaborated. If it would help I have a small offer. The group that Demsy runs on with me for RBGs do not have a rigid run schedule yet, but if we ever are running RBGs, I am officially inviting any and all guildies to sit in "Swen's Bakery" :) to listen to us. 

This is a small way, and ONLY way that I can think of, for anyone to get a glimpse of demsy interacting with people. Now again, my squad is around half guildies half non during most runs but this may offer an oppurtunity to at least hear him in action. 

I only ask a few small things.

1)Keep vent completely silent for your part while we are in matches, in RBGs a clear vent is extremely important for success. Just a few minutes into every match you will quickly see the intense communication going on, almost to the point you will most likely feel like you have a decent idea of what is going on actually in the game.

2)Come with a positive outlook. I have a fun but extremely competetive group of people. Give them all a chance, Demsy included. No fighting drama etc aloud :).

3)Give us all a little leeway (ME MORE than the others most likely :p) We are pvp'in language may be roughnecked.. Parental Discretion is advised :)

So, If you want to get to know Demsy better and this sounds good, come on out. Or hell if you just want to hear us attempting for those high ratings and what RBGs are all about come on out! Or hell your just bored! We generally run evenings and sometimes very late. I will start advertising in guild if there seems to be any interest in this.

The app process varies from person to person.    There is no need to make a final decision right away.    This particular app appears to set off a firestorm so I think we should just wait it out a bit.

This is no ordinary video game where you can hit the reset button.   Most of us are real people playing so people will remember, people are accountable for what they've done in the past.    Demsy will have to show people that he's changed, and that should take time.

For those that voted no, please have more than gut feelings.   Specific reasons why, specific incidents.    Maybe apolgies are needed, maybe amends are needed, maybe just a simple forgive and forget.     If you have a really burning hatred for him that shouldn't be shared in public, maybe inform one of the officers of the incident.

Anyways, to reiterate, I vote wait.    Let's all get to know this so called new and improved Demsy first.

I've read through all the responses here over the past few days, deliberating on what to say on the matter.

I vote yes.

Demsey has left a negative impact in the past on several of our guildies, but several more seem to like him just fine.  Having never had interaction with him, it is hard for me to judge.  For the sake of those who favor adding him, I believe that we should give him a shot.  If he is an elitist, so be it.  I consider myself a hunter elitist at times, but I'm still okay to get along with.  If somehow, he turns out to be a douchebag then fine; he's gone.  Meanwhile, I think it is worthwhile to give him a legitimate shot.

In Demsy's defense, he -was- an annoying troll chat douche bag, sorry Demsy but it's true, but the keyword there is -was-. That was how long ago? He's simmered down quite a bit since then, it's so far in the past and so minor that it seems odd to see such hate over it.

His personality shines through in his application, he likes to joke around and have fun, and there is nothing wrong with that. There is even a question in the application "your ass, or a hole in the ground." I always laugh when I hear people say how they don't want to give an applicant a shot because he didn't "take it seriously" enough because that question always pops up there.

Give him a shot, if you're so bias that you can't step back and look at it a little objectively than fine, but just because he did some things that might of annoyed some people years ago or didn't remember someone that played with him at some point doesn't make him a bad candidate to join our Downy community.

I know damn well of a few people, including officers, that wouldn't of made it past the "application" because of a lack of proper grammar or a general fun kidding around attitude.

I'd say give him a shot and let the past stay in the past.

I don't know Demsy well, but based on my limited experience chatting with him in vent he just seems like a goofy guy, not the arrogant prick that people are making him out to be. I don't see why we wouldn't give him a chance, especially if everyone who has played with him recently has nice things to say about him. What do we have to lose? I mean if he's the jerk you guys are making him out to be then he won't last long anyway.
