4. You have yet to do anything, in the 3 weeks your application has been open, to give us any sort of a reason to invite you. We don't care about your fucking gearscore. The fact that we had to hold your hand through the basics of gemming and enchanting (which you half fixed) tells me that your gearscore (whatever the fuck it's worth) is nothing more than a number attatched to someone who doesnt actually know what is going on.
How do you feel you will contribute to the downfall community?:
I feel I will help the Downfall community grow being a member. I think I can help new-comers grow into pro players, and I'm a great addition to Downfall raids. Not ONLY because of my class, or DPS, but my knowledge.

You said in your app that you are a fast learner, but you're not bothering to do what was suggestion. I don't know what it is with you, be it trying to save gold for Cataclysm or what, but if you want to get into DF, you need to put your best foot and face forward, get your ass together, and do what was suggested for you. We all are trying to save up for gold for Cataclysm, and no, all the gear that we have right now will NOT be irrelevant the moment Cataclysm comes out. What are you going to do in cataclysm, level with no gear on? I can understand if you were leveling an alt, and didn't put ICC10/25 gear so you can level in Cataclysm, but not attempting to do your best to app to a GUILD doesn't look good for you.
You have been here told repeatedly over and over, get your Sons of Hodir rep up. We have given suggestions to go check where the hell you are in the SoH chain. We have given you tools to go check which quests in Stormpeaks you have not completed. Saedo has painstakingly calculated where you might be in the quest chain, and has even suggested even the quest item for you to continue your quest chain. You have not even said a word of what happened with what we have suggested.
Please, PLEASE, PLEASE stop showing off your gearscore number. Every time you post your new gear score number, we start subtracting 400 for every time you mentioning it. You posted your gear score 3 times. That's -1200 to your gearscore. Your gearscore is now 4371 to us, not 5571. So please, stop it. *EDIT* Your gearscore is now 3971, you have posted it now 4 times.
You have been told repeatedly to go download and use rawr to figure out what to do with your gemming and with your rotations. You still have yet to do anything about it. All you have been doing is beating things around the bush, swapping gems mindlessly. How do I know you have been swapping gems mindlessly? Look at your pants that you have on.

Still clueless? Here, I'll walk you though it:
Your pants have the following sockets, a BLUE socket, followed by a YELLOW socket, with a socket bonus of 7 spellpower.
Your pants are currently gemmed with the following gems: an ORANGE gem in the BLUE socket, followed by a NIGHTMARE TEAR in the YELLOW socket, socket bonus is not fulfilled. You COULD have gained 7 more spellpower if you put the gems in the CORRECT sockets, but I guess you blindly didn't think about it. You are probably going to babble and whine about trying to save gold just fixing these gems. TOO f'ing bad. Change them. Not changing them=you're not so serious about applying.
Now, finally, I don't know what the hell you have been telling guildies, or guildies have been telling you, but please. STOP F'ING LIEING TO US. You earlier this afternoon that Thughammer (an alt) has been telling YOU to pm Ultraknight (another alt) to get a /ginvite. Neither has the ability to do guild inviting. Only GUILD officers have the ability to ginvite. And if you still didn't get the message, Deathnuit told you that you would NOT be getting an invite today.
If you really, really, REALLY, want a ginvite, STOP acting like you are 16, because, frankly, you are acting your age. You aren't at the moment acting like a smart, well-rounded person that you state that you are. You're acting like an immature kid that think things should be given to you on a silver platter, not earned like the rest of us have gotten.
P.S. UI doesn't mean post a picture of your toon, IT MEANS POST A WORKING UI THAT YOU USE IN GAME, NOT A SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR CHARACTER AT THE CHARACTER SELECTION SCREEN.

Okay, to start with Crawfeesh. I went on my lock for about 50 minutes before getting back onto Tiestø and re-gemming and re-specing. So don't tell me I blew him off, because I didn't. And I thanked him a few times for the advice.
Secondly, I looked into SoH rep. once again. Still cannot fix the problem. I asked around about the problem and eventually came to possibly getting inscription to fix the problem.
Gearscore: I only post my gear score to keep my app updated. There is no spot for gear score, that's why I post it.
RAWR: I don't think this is necessary, period. If I need advice, I can always ask.
Pants: Didn't know I still had +10 stats in there.
DF members: I haven't lied to anyone... My god? Someone doesn't like me.
I simply wanted to know about how long it takes fora guild invite. I was just trying to make a point that my app is still hear - I didn't want to be tossed out of the picture.
I don't expect to be handed everything to me. I work for my achievements on the online game.
Who cares if i'm 16, 26, 36 ect. You should be happy i'm 16.
At least you can have peace of mind that i'm not 30-some years old playing a online kids game.
I really thought when they said Downfall was a friendly community, that it would be a friendly community.
Now I get all this BS simply for asking DF members for help- That granite, SHOULD have helped me instead of bitching that I'm " PM'ing them in-game on World of Warcraft" !

Your pants I see you just recently changed out that 10 stat gem, however, you didnt change the purified to a runed cardinal. Should be 2 runed cardinal rubies....but you would know that if YOU HAD OR USED RAWR.
Did it seem odd that pretty much everybody here asked if you used rawr? I don't know about you, but that alone throws up a red flag about how much you're willing to listen to our advice. The same thirst for advice that you are basing you're ENTIRE arguement about.
Lets go onto the things you havent changed yet.
- PVP bracers to Bejeweled Wizard's Bracers
- Your necklace. I told you that a better necklace dropped off the last boss in FoS. I just checked your armory, and there is no evidence showing you even made an attempt.
- Your belt. Same situation. I showed you a better belt in HoR...again no attempt was made.
- Your shoes. Again...same situation. PoS drops better shoes than your pvp ones. Can you guess the outcome? If you answered no attempt you win a cookie.
When I suggested you buy items from the AH and you replied "I don't want to spend too much gold" or something to that effect, this is when I researched these items for you. They cost you nothing but time. You most certainly cant get them if you never Q up for the instances.
You said that you didnt blow me off. Really? Did I NOT say that after we fix your gear, I would work on your rotation with you?
Lets recap.
1. You didnt fix your gear
2. Because of aforementioned event...we didnt work on your rotation. Lord knows you need help on that one.
3. All the above happened cause you became frustrated with your mage. You decided to log onto your lock.
Although you DID in fact thank me for the things I was practically "begging" you to do...you did nothing at the time to change anything.
Unless you have some amazing photographic memory...or are screen-shotting every paragraph im telling you...there is no way you could remember all that I told you.
I've helped A LOT of mages on this server. The reason I do this is cause I was HELPED too. Both by Oulo (old epidemic mage) and by Alpralazam. The respect I have for these two individuals is absolute so I try to steer other mages in the right direction. My toon was so messed up, I ended up have to re-gem EVERYTHING....but I did all of this on the spot. Alpra asked me to DL rawr...I did. Change my meta gem...I did. Do you see where I'm going with this?
Case and Point. Take a step back from this experience. Figure out why there is so much resentment towards this application. I mean...SERIOUSLY figure it out. Wow isnt life....but wow isnt what's keeping you from this guild...It's your personality, your thought process, and your lack of motivation.

Hodir, what exactly have you done? Specifics. I gave you what should be the exact part of the chain you're on. You've yet to respond if you've even tried any of it. Only the I can't find quests, been to the tower (tower? temple of storms?), etc, etc. Did you loot mobs? That's what I'm thinking, you didn't loot mobs unless the quest asked you to.
RAWR, don't need it? Will ask advice? So the advice given to you was to get to know a tool to make intelligent choices for you. Instead you want to rely on someone who's using that very tool himself who's probably just plugging your gear in for you to tell you what you need to know. See how redundant that is if you learned it yourself?

I talked to two people, badshammy and thughammer. Badshammy said it took 3 weeks, with no other information. Thughammer said he got a instance invite by talking to Ultraknight. I asked Ultraknight how long a invite normally takes [After telling him about my guild app, and raiding for DF] He said to talk to Scarite, who directed me to Deathnuit. So I told him the same thing, about my app ect. He then said - Sorry, your guild app has been closed. I asked him why and he said he doesn't care to explain but someone will post a list on my guild app. I was wondering if this is normal communication with-in Downfall, and why they're closing my app?
I haven't done anything wrong. When a few members told me they got a invite by being active, and communicating, I tried to do just that.
I have raided ICC/Ulduar 25 with DF and i've had this app up for about three weeks now. [5.6K GS]

Alprazalam — Wed, 08/25/2010 - 08:23I can't find anything wrong with your rotation. You casted Arcane Blast 56 times during our Lady Deathwhisper kill, and casted arcane missiles about 14 times. You may have clipped some of the missiles off because you had to move or sheep and what not, but that is to be expected. I'm just wandering if you are always casting Arcane Missiles on Missile Barrage procs?? I'm guessing you did, seeing that you gained Missile Barrage 22 times in the fight.
I also see that you picked up your tier 10 shoulders last night. I'm assuming that you keep doing the SOH dailies so you can get the shoulder enchant from them. I'd also change my spec and get the threat reduction so I could change my cloak enchant to the haste one.
I have to study atm, but when I get back from class I'll look up some craftable gear. I know Bejeweled Wizard's Bracers from TOC would be an upgrade, and the ICC boots with hit as well. Kind of wanna get rid of you hit trinket cause it sucks, but I know that hit is scarce when ur using badges for other things.

I've looked on WoWhead, wowwikki, thottbot-- They all say do do this chain quest, ect.
When I look for th quest, I can't find it. I've done many other quest, to try to get the chain quest -
- But none of this seems to work. I'm still hated, gaining no rep. with SoH.
Cloak enchant: I cannot find this cloak enchant. Maybe you know someone who has it?
Threat Reduction: I will have to re-spec again - removing something else to get it.
Reach Talent: I may want reach too. During one of the boss fights, I couldn't reach the boss at points, and I have a VERY hard time reaching the add in time to help DPS it down with my DPS partner.
Badges: I've currently got 7 frost - 30 triumph - Can't buy vendor gear
Money: I would like to keep a pretty nice amount of money. I don't want to spend a bunch on BoE gear, seeing as Cataclysm is coming out soon. Everything we buy now will become irrelevant the moment Cataclysm is out.

I know in Questhelper that's a function in it that can tell you what quests you have not done, and it can indicate where on the map where that quest can start. Maybe you are "stuck" on part of the quest chain, dropped the quest, and forgot where to pick it back up.
Another option is to try to talk to a GM and find out what is going on. They may, or may not, give you hints on what is going on.

If not, see if there's a quest in the cave/tunnel.
If you are a vykrul, and don't see any quests anywhere in that village.
Fly west, to the Temple of Storms, the very top, see if Thorim has a quest.

Tiestø — Fri, 08/27/2010 - 20:06I went to the K3 did all the quest. Went to the village north of K3 [blue people] did all those also. Went to both towers, did all those quest too. Now I can't find anything else. I've done everything I could.
I can't remember the spelling of their names exactly. Like I said, they quit a year ago and soon after I quit. I just came back about 3 weeks ago, and I didn't have anyone on my friends list that looked familiar. I could try to contact them and get their character names, but it wouldn't matter because they've been frozen to long. If you tried to look them up on the armory, it probably wouldn't show.
This is a common problem with most people and getting exalted with this group. However, I haven't seen any help for my problem getting exalted.
