Step forward and judge
Dragonspear — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 11:01
Today in our little paladin classroom of the guild world we will discuss judgements.
Many holy paladins do not judge unless they are farming alone, this is especially true in instances and raids where holy pallies have been expected to heal and cleanse.
Once you add a ret paladin to a given group though we are able to bring this usual aspect of our class closer to its potential. In fact, with 3 pallies in a given raid you can max it.
A ret paladins crusader strike refreshes not only their own judgement when they swing but that of all paladins in the raid. A ret raid spec carries Imp Seal of the Crusader so that when its judged on that target, anyone casting damage spells at that target gain an increased 3% crit.
This means that I must rely on holy paladins and/or prot paladins to judge wisdom and light. The wisdom will be giving anyone with a blue rage bar.....errrr mana bar :D a nice boost in MP5 (this judgement btw is one of dragonspears tips for quick paladin leveling).

if you scroll down you can see approx MP5 for a given class/spec with JoW on a target.
Also, another paladin can use JoL (hey they even have set bonuses for this one), this can allow your melee, especially your fast swinging rogues, fury warriors and enhancement shaman (ok ok and hunter pets) to help keep themselves up. THis also allows for a minimal hp gain for your ret paladin and 2h dps warrior as well.
Anyway, sorry for the wall of text.
Short Summary: JUDGE PLEASE, ME LOVE U LONGTIMES!

My Only problem with NATUR
Dragonspear — Wed, 03/19/2008 - 07:58My Only problem with NATUR Kog is the amount of screenspace I end up using.
Not to mention, I am also looking for an Ace2 mod that has it.

I just use Natur Enemy
Kognus — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 21:35I just use Natur Enemy Castbars to keep track of Judgements being up on the target. It works fine in my experience and it's a great castbar mod to begin with.
Unbuffed Stats in PvP Gear: 10207 hp, 7082 mana, 392 resilience, 1830 attack power, 31% crit chance, capped hit
My Judgement is refreshed
Dragonspear — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 17:34My Judgement is refreshed everytime i land a successful melee hit.
Theres are only refreshed every 6 seconds but a successful crusader strike. So techically after they are put up I should have ~3 attempts to refresh them myself.
That being said, I don't have my UI set up to tell me exactly which attack is dodged as im doing a boss from behind. Although dodging 3 crusader strikes in a row is unlikely, i just like having timers overall. just in case :D

Wont your judgement timer
Shinso — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 17:09Wont your judgement timer and all the others refresh at the same time? So you only have to see your timer?

I have tried Quartz and it
Dragonspear — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 14:57I have tried Quartz and it only keeps my own up there. The Catch with Judgements is the fact that although my crusader strike refreshes them (thus starting the 20 second timer all over again) the paladin who first put the judgement on can still refresh it with a melee swing.
I'm gonna go also check the Cromfel site which I posted in my app. I posed the same question there and I am gonna see if any of them have responded since like 98% of the posters there are ret :D

I tried classtimers and
Nuitarin — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 13:47I tried classtimers and didnt really like it. You click off your target and you loose the timer bar. I use Chronometer it works ok. You might try them one at a time and see what works best for you.
I don't know who Dragonspear
Gares of War — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 13:24I don't know who Dragonspear is. I thought he was a recent guildie after a long application round table, but maybe he is some sort of Man-duck.

*yes im bias :D*
Also Garreth, another addon im trying to find is something Ace2 that lets me track once I have gotten control of a certain judgement and the time remaining.
I know NATUR does but I am not a personal fan of the addon itself anymore. So I am trying to find an equivalent. Blizzard in all their coding genius doesn't change the debuff timer to me once i crusader strike :(

ClassTimers. I use it to
garreth — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 13:29ClassTimers.
I use it to track certain short term buffs on myself (like seals and righteous fury) as well as track my debuffs on a target (judgements, even vengeance). Works for focus target, which is what I use to track when my seal of wisdom falls off my focus (boss).

garreth — Tue, 03/18/2008 - 11:40Yarp, there will be an inevitable time where everyone has to gtfo out of the cave in and the judgements fall out. Just make a quick little yell macro that informs the designated pallys to rejudge their respective seals.
Also, an amazing addon that lets you quickly see if any number of specific debuffs are up is called "Demon" check it out, WoW Ace Updater.

There are some thought that might not. And I provided the numbers just in case any were curious.
I also will prolly end up doing when Garreth asked and make a macro to for /yell and /raid to scream for judgements :D
