The modem was dropping packets left and right. After i take my test in the night class tonight, i'm giong home to stress test it.

I don't know what people are doing, but its really gotten to a stage where its unfair. I know I'm resident bitchface, but its not fucking hard to do 800 DPS with the level of gear and people who are in your raid.
Doing any less then 800 DPS, unless you died - which is most likely due to something silly - is just unfair to the rest of the raid, NO MATTER YOUR CLASS.
I don't know if your not flasking, oiling your weapons, using potions or what, but talk to people from Hamfist, look at your class forums on WoW website or google "Getting the Best DPS from (Class)".
It's at a point where you're IN MOUNT HYJAL AND BLACK TEMPLE, TIER SIX - You shouldn't have to be baby'd anymore by Ataraxia.
Step it up, you've all shown you can do it.

I pretty much echo Jasmynn's sentiments. There's no reason that your dps should be anywhere below 800-900 dps while parsed. Use food, use flasks, use scrolls, use weapon oils.
If you come in with crap dps and expect to down anything in BT/MH, you're wasting Atar's time.

We've been talking about this for months and months and months. Not sure how much clearer we can make it. If you are one of those ppl who need to step it up...FIGURE IT OUT! Shinso was one of those people, he respeced, he regemmed, he cussed, he theorycrafted, he cussed some more...and now he's above 1000!!!!! It's doable people...get on it!

At this point, we're really talking about TIME on target, not just gear/gems/talents. TIME on target is a close approximation of "skill", I guess, in that it indicates that you were able to burn down what needed to be burnt down as fast as possible. Gear up, of course, but SPEED and REACTION TIMES because more important at this level of content.
Vashj, which LF1M will be facing Saturday, is an excellent test of TIME vs. just gear. There's so much target switching and reaction and adaptation that your "skilled" players will outshine your simply "geared" players.
Fathomlord tests this to some extent too. I see Watches at 1318 dps, Zifter at 951 and Cory at 498? Same class, different specs of course, but that is a MASSIVE difference in performance. DPS times were the inverse of the dps. What happened here? We have really high dps TIME from Cory (good!) but reallly low dps (blarg!). It looks like she was on the priest, so I'm assuming that she was in charge of Tongues. But, you can still absolutely annihilate the priest since that's your only target! I remember Jobs having that priest almost dead by the time we got to it back in the day!
Overall, dps has gone up in LF1M: Judge is breaking 1k consistently, Case is a monster, Dufe & Watches are HUGE casters, the rogues are staying above 1k now too. There's still some "newish" people that are soooooo close to really being some great contributors. It's literally just familiarity of encounter at this point from them. People like Shinso are close, they just need to absolutely go balls to the wall and never let up. I can literally see Shinso "backing off" on these parses. NEVER BACK OFF UNTIL YOU'RE OVER 120% OF YOUR MT'S THREAT!!!

Also, you'd have to look at group setup. Does lf1m stack more groups for healer benefit, or dps benefit (I, being biased of course, favors stacking DPS except for a few fights, ie, council).
Anyways, DPS looks very low for that fight. Also seems theres either a lot of people dieing or not getting enough time on the boss to dps. Just a few things to look at :P

Maybe tailor the groups a bit more based on where ppl will be for most of the fight. Like BM hunter buffs goes like across the room.

Our kill from last night was a new raid dps record for the guild (for this boss), although some of this was due to lower dps time in the calculation, you'll find that we were still very close (within seconds) to having the lowest total time to kill. Also, our presense looks great, I only see 2 dead, and those aren't until 70%+.
I agree that we need to work on dps times on this and other fights, but the dps itself was perfectly fine. (And actually, most of the raid was on par with the 1/18 kill for dps time as well.) Now Leo, that one needed some work . . .
