This is a mount run. And while I can appreciate you having 1k spell damage, the gear and pacing requirements are such that I just can't bring T4-geared alts into a mount run.

I'm not sure if it still quite applies to epic dropping bosses without a quest item. But I propose, to save us every single second we got, we don't loot the bosses. And that means nobody even touch the corpse. Hopefully they don't decay for an hour and that's plenty of time to come back for em. Even if they decay, it's only what, 5 badges and a few void crystals or offset goodies?

These 45 minute minute mount runs are BRUTAL. We've got T6 folks on these that can barely handle it. I've done two so far and the level of dps and healing required is just ridiculous.
Now, that said, I think it's KICK ASS that you're gearing Menadore (name still makes me crack the hell up) and available for 10 mans. THAT is the kind of person we need more of. Menadore would absolutely rip shit up in a regular ZA and I'd have no problem inviting you to one.
But these mount runs are basically Blizzard's 400 yard sprint of Doom. And, to put it in perspective, these hardcore raiders have been attempting this run for a few weeks now and are failing by just a few seconds.
Rock on, I hope that comes across as smiley-er.
Not looting bosses might
Submitted by Shihli on Thu, 04/03/2008 - 10:18.Not looting bosses might save us a few seconds, but it's not the biggest thing that's slowed us down Saedo. We just can't keep dying, that's the trick.
And thanks for the clarity G. I do tend to come of brusque, particularly when I have to wake up at ass o'clock in the morning for a meeting that ends up being rescheduled because my ****ing client can't make it to their own ***damned meetings.

Submitted by saedo on Thu, 04/03/2008 - 10:37.Well yea. But look at last week. 11 sec and we had 2 major "screwups". A taunt resist, and I guess a change in boss AI which didn't teleport ppl away from walls of fire. Not looting in that run would've saved us what, 30-60 sec?
A flawless run is what we can only hope for, but shit can happen and I just think we need to build as much of a time buffer as possible. A few weeks ago I advocated killing bosses faster, and last week despite the screwups we did just that. Shaved 30-50 sec off every (unsure about dragonhawk) boss kill.
Oh well, just an idea to be more "hard core" for this run. lol

And there should be no danger of decay, if it is one hour. It's a 45 min run, make or break. With the clear to eagle and the kill time, it's even less than that before we can head back to loot.

There may be exceptions in the future, but for now we simply can't bring *anyone* in.

Submitted by Shihli on Thu, 04/03/2008 - 13:56.Pretty much all of the ZA runs I put together are mount runs nowadays - eventually I'd love to see our whole 25man raid scene riding around on bears :D However, I think Karlizeth might be looking to get her ZA runs going again, and she did them Sunday evenings - so talk to her next time you can and see what's up.
As for Karazhan, Nuit (and when I am able, me as well) is still putting together Lava Crab runs on Sundays. While I can't ever guarantee a spot for anyone really, I can say that we never really know who we'll have until Sunday rolls around, so be on if you're game.

Denul & Salus have run w/ GPS on numerous occassions, but we usually have mages coming out our ears so it's not something he can really bring Menadore to.
Secondly, Grasen has not been involved in ZA for several months now.
Lastly, with the addition of larger raids frequently occuring on sundays I haven't been able to get a group together with causing myself (or others) a severe headache. This is not a gripe; this is recognizing that a 10-man ZA takes a backseat to progression. So, until if/when a new time slot can be decided on that works for a core group of people, GPS is on indefinate hiatus.
