- Explain why you have chosen this build for raiding: I am currently lacking crit % for destruction, but I'm happy to respec whatever you want need or think/know is better.
- Would you be willing to re-spec as required by the guild/encounters? Sure, look up ^^
- Tell us a little about how you see your class contributing to a raid: I see myself as continuous (un oomable) dps, healthstones soulstones and curse of elements/shadows. (and some dps)
- Would it be a problem if you had to wait 3 weeks or 3 months to get into raid? No, i can pug if i know i wont raid for the week with the guild
Raid History

Raid/Instance Experience (pre & post bc): Kara, Gruuls, Spam Reaver. Havent ever done anything else, one of the main reasons i'm applying to this guild is to play in some higher end raids.
- List the instances you have experience in, and the farthest you have been in that instance: All, full clear.
- What is your favorite 25-man BC Boss encounter, and why? I've enjoyed every single raid encounter ive ever been in. I dont care how many times we wipe, simply being there is exciting.
- What is your least favorite 25-man BC Boss encounter, and why? my least favorite is gruuls, simply because ive never done a guild run and have never downed him. Sad i know (i topped dps in the raid often)
- Previous Guilds - Why did you leave them? How long were you there? Ni, (disband), damage inc (booted for asking to get into kara), inevitable force, (Gquit after being constantly ostricized and not allowed to raid even if they needed a warlock for the specific raid), quatri mensuram, left to raid with Evolution, which im currently in now, weve been 1 shotting every boss in kara for months but dont have the numbers to high end raid.
Alts
- List the names of any alts you may have, along with their respective levels, classes/specs, and races
- Tyrova: 63 holy paladin (human)
- Frozera: 70 Frost mage (gnome)
- Various lvl 5-20s of no actual importance.
- Is this app for your main alone, or would you also like to have your alts in Downfall?
- Eventually i would appreciate getting my alts into downfall, even if i dont get to raid on them due to class/gear, i think having more classes at your disposal is a valuable asset
General Questions
- We receive a lot of applications. Why should we recruit
you? I never took a SS of damage meters, though i routinely do top 5 in 25 man raids, I think you should recruit me because im a team player, I'll do what you need with little to no complaining, I'm maleable extremely quick to learn fights, intelligent nice and have a drive to down new bosses (I'm a nerd its the only drive I can satisfy) -
Why have you chosen to apply to Downfall? I have good friends in downfall (Grasen/aidin) I was looking for a new guild to raid with and it made the most sense to join a guild where there were some nice pepole i know.
- What do expect to get out of Downfall membership? Raiding, casual or serious (whatever you need) and a helpful group of people to run heroics/help with various things
- How do you feel you will contribute to the downfall community? humor naughty jokes clean jokes, I'm also an experienced pvper and bger and would be willing to contribute my own vent for pvping, running premades for the guild or getting guildies arena points.
- Do you have any references in Downfall? Grasen Aidin Nightwalkers are te 3 i know
- How long do you intend to stay in Downfall? Forever.
- What things might cause you to leave? not being allowed to raid when you need a warlock or other signs of my not being wanted.
- Schedule: No life, happy to raid any day
- If you are applying to raid, which nights can you raid? Monday-sunday
- Can you consistently stay up until 10pm server time on these nights without whining or burning out? till midnight i'm fine.
- What time zone are you in? PST gmt-8
- How often do you think you would have to miss raid? perhaps once a month, due to parents requiring me to go to various gatherings, though i'll do my best to get back for raid times.
- What might the typical reasons for this be? family events/traveling
- Read the pages found here at this link. Does everything there seem fair? Yes, intelligent even. LOL CROSSGRIP. I raid with him, he has 9 70s, thats just stupid.
- If you had to choose, would you put Cisper or Shinzwei on auto-follow? had to choose.. shinzwei. though i dont see why i would have to follow either. (why go afk in a raid)
- If Shihli tells a joke (good or bad), will you laugh? why would i laugh at a bad joke? I'll laugh at a good joke.
- How many spelling mistakes are in your app? 10 due to typing, one 1 due to not knowing how to spell a word
- Your ass, or a hole in the ground? Hole in the ground.. i can hide inside that.
- Anything else you would like to add? heroism is OP for pvp
UI
- How do you feel about mods, particularly in a raid setting? Whatever helps, im a mod junkie so i'm happy to integrate
- Please post a screenshot of your UI by using the "Attached Images" link below.
- List the mods displayed in your screenshot and give a brief explanation of why you like each of them.
- I have necrosis for messages extra buttons and easy clicking out of combat, some soul shard management and healthstone trade macros.
- Bongos2, the one that moves all my bars to the bottom of the screen for EASYMODE keybindings and so i can get all the bars off my screen sides and crap.
- I have titan panel for various and fairly useless information about gold and xp per hour etc.
- I have natur enemy castbar for pvping in arenas, so i can see casts more easily and sense CDs
- I have proximo for arena targeting bars
- Omen and swstats for a threat meter and a damage meter
- I cant think of anything else i use.
- Are you willing to change mods that don't interface well with ours in raid? Of course, why would i bog down 24 people so i could make my screen look tight.

had a sports coach back in Highschool that really emphasized this very
idea. "Sorry" has pretty much become exactly as you discribe, but just
because the sincerity of the word has been removed, it doesn't mean
that sincerity can't still exist. He started having us use "I
apologize" instead of just a quick meaningless "sorry." The change was
meant to bring new meaning to what you say and why you say it. When
you say I apologize, you are taking direct responsiblity for what
happened, as opposed to quickly stating the name of a board game.
Even
so, I don't care if you were apologetic or not. After all, I'm not
going to tell you who to be, or how to be. I'm simply suggesting that
someone who has experienced the things which you have, shouldn't expect
the same attitude you got from those bullies from everyone around you,
and you don't need to become a hardened "all out for myself" kinda
person to survive. I was also in a similar situation to you, but I
don't want to paste my entire life story here so ask me about it some
time (we can talk in vent if you like) and maybe we can feed off
eachother a little.

The way I take things like this all depend on what kind of drive home I had... I have PSTed people pissed that I had 4 mobs on while trying to pick something up for a quest and someone comes by loots, and runs away without helping. But most of the time I just mount and go to the next one... unless it is horde and I am on my druid... lol @ trying to loot with insect swarm on.

And its not about the mana cell, its about the non-nonchalant attitude when I brought it up in a pm. "I'd tell you to QQ more, but that would be mean" isn't exactly an apologetic response. If it had been a simple "sorry about that" instead of him trying to rationalize it, then I wouldn't have really cared.
If you really think that personal attitude is not important to an app, then by all means feel free to delete my comments, it really wont hurt me. But as long as apps are open, I'll post whatever my past expierences have been with any applicant.
Like I said, if you think differently, just delete my opinions about it. I'd hate to see another Isilra thread.

Seems like theres a bunch of drama over nothing on this app. I've played with him quite a bit and he seems like a different person. A lot closer match to some of the personality that I'd expect in guild than some of the other people that have gotten in. I've had similar experiences with Star and I could see how the mixup happened. As far as Jos' comments on the karazhan run; it honestly sounds like people were not going into it with the best of moods. YSR was probably trying to make sure that everyone was prepared to get through the run as smoothly as possible. When things happen, its frustrating. If not anything else I see Jos' comments as not thinking he makes a good raid leader. I really don't see how that means he would be a bad guildy. Through my experiences with him, he seems like a decent person that puts forth the effort. In the end, that's what I want in a guildy.

YSR, I didn't ask you to apologize. To be frank, I'm not a terribly apologetic person either. However, I will acknowledge, quite frequently, when I screw up - particularly when it comes to dealing with people. In these events, both with Starstalker and in Karazhan with other <Downfall> guildies, there were separate circumstances that could have been handled differently.
Particularly, in these situations you could have done some work to clarify your intentions and actions to the parties involved. No apologies necessary. Taking a standoffish approach won't help your case.

One of my greatest and longest wow friends is in the guild torment, people were calling me a douche bag and various other things in thier guild chat and he let me know. I jumped the gun calling the pally on it (he was from torment.) There were 2 other torment guildies i didnt see and it turned out to be the hunter.
I said lets do netherspite because things can work out in mysterious ways. We could sorta kinda maybe do it and sometimes skill overrides group make up and it works out. One attempt, epic phail, lets move on. I don't think you have any reason to even talk about that. I'm leading the raid, i think we should give a boss a shot, we can give it a shot and i expect everybody to. Its not like i made us do it 300 times and take repairs to the face in a hopeless act.
I also dont like how you're leaving things out of statements to make me look bad. "Yea guys we don't have the make up, Jos is right."
Also, i did apologize to the pally "Sorry reeaaper i didn't see the other torment guildies in here." Not the completest of apologies but the topic was more or less entirely dismissed soon as the hunter spoke up.

Pulls were too slow in the aim of a 4 hour run, which we just squeaked out. We started chain pulling and did just fine, never wiped on trash though had a few freak deaths.

When we got him to invite Jeris, between his lack of gear and lack of time spent in KZ Youshould was pretty much ready to kick him on the spot. In vent when Jeris had mentioned he'd never tanked it and didn't really know any of the pulls, YSR said over vent "He's kidding, right? Like, he's seriously kidding, right?" And seemed less then thrilled to let him stay. Fact is, once upon a time we all walked into KZ in blues, and didn't really know anything about the place.
There was like three people from | Torment | in the group. Right after Moroes, YSR goes off on the pally tank we pulled from there, saying that he has friends in that guild, and if he wants to talk about him behind his back he doesn't belong in the raid, etc. Reaapper(the pally) denied saying anything, and infact seemed honestly confused about what happened. The hunter from the guild fessed up shortly there after. I never heard one apology.
He made some inappropriate comments towards me, which, as much as I let the guild get away with it, didn't fly because I don't know him well enough. Being a girl does not mean I should get put on the spot light and treated like that. And as much as I don't mind it when the guild does it, it does some times go too far.
On the way to do Chess, he asked whether we should do Netherspite or Chess first, where I stuck my opinion in. As someone who helped lead a kz(even if it was a failing one) I know the strats on every boss in that place. I said that we didn't have the group make up to do Netherspite. (Our only non mana user was Jeris.) Beyond that, too many people who didn't know the fight well enough. We ended up doing chess first, and inspite of my many protests, still tried Netherspite. Which we wiped on. And after word, he said, "Sorry guys, we can't do Netherspite, We don't have the group makeup."
His general attitude about wiping, pulls being too slow, and just about every one else in the raid just really made it a long karazan for me. I know Nikkyta would back me up on this.
I know I don't have any say in guild invites, but this is what I saw. A few of the people I was grouped with and talking to during the raid weren't very thrilled with him either.

On the one hand, Star - it's one mana cell. That'll hold you up for what, 10 seconds? Yes, it's about common courtesy and being polite, but there have been plenty of times that I've accidentally "ninja'd" a mana cell from someone simply because I didn't see them. There've also been plenty of times that people have accidentally ninja'd them from me. I don't lose sleep over either one.
Youshouldrun, you might exist in an "I don't apologize" type world, but at the same time, if someone calls you on something like that, you'd do well to clarify your intentions instead of just going "oh well".
What I'm more disappointed in, though, is the fact that this is even being discussed.

Your first response to star leaves a lot to be desired. Although I myself know the picked on mentality, but repeating it you are literally just continuing the cycle. Sometimes even the simplest of appologies online can further your cause a lot.
We all have our asshole moments at times whether they are intentional or not in game. I have not read the chat logs between you and star after the fact so my judgement here is completely based off these comments. You were in error for not checking to see if a given person was going there. Yes, we all want to hurry and get our dailies done (I spent 2.5 hours on mine today alone) but a touch of courtesy is what makes the people in this guild stand out. That being said, your response to Star was perhaps got detracted from your meaning when it go to say "I don't appologize and they are hollow etc." Standing up and admitting that you are wrong isn't something you should be afraid to do. It puts you above those very bullies you mentioned as their's was hollow.
Best thing I can see for you and star at the moment is to try to come to terms. What those are I don't know, but I am certain that bickering on the forums with each other won't help either persons case with the other.

Personally, I dont care what you think of me. I have no say in whether or not you're accepted into DF. I'd just hope that people joining this community have good attitudes, and dont have any wish to make DF a bad name on the server. I remember people and guilds who have poor attitudes. IMO, Grasen and Aidin are the only good things to come out of Straight twisted, Temptest DPS sucks balls, Blood faith is populated with douchebags, and my ignore list is constantly full with asshats I've met in 5mans who I just dont bother with (and a list that is checked with every guild app I get to see).
When I'm out there doing what needs to be done, I dont jack others, because thats not how I would want to be treated. I've met some very nice people out there (ones who asked before mining a khorium node I was near, whether or not I was a miner), as well as some douches.
Like I said, I have no say in your g invite, I just hope the people we invite have high standards, and ninjaing quest items from random people you dont know in a game world, to me, doesn't fit high standards. Thats all.
