A bunch of friends and I are going to meet up for some RL BGs. If you are in the area you are invited... no sign-ups required... none of us are really good.
We are getting a group rate $40 for everything (gun, paint, mask and air). If you have your own gear, bring it... but you have to buy their paint. There will be extra equipment if interested.

SC has over a couple haundred people every weekend. $35 is pretty cheap for field paint, normally they try and gauge the dollars out of you. I might be going to Havasu or surfing this weekend. Ardea — Tue, 05/20/2008 - 09:29I have been an Autococker fan for a long time... but I hear their quality took a dump when they were bought out...
I started with a burrowed Sheridan (?) sniper rifle and PGP pistol (lol where did the ball go?)
My first marker was an Automag Custom 68 tourny gun... stolen along with my 20" speakers and sound system... the night before a tournament.
Won a 1v1 lunchtime fun tourny with a burrowed Autococker. Feeling sorry for me, they gave me a Spyder Compact (for "sportsmanship"). I put a custom honed 14" brass barrel on and made it deadly. I kept this gun as a back up when I bought my first Autococker... later traded for an Air America Apocalyse compressed air system.... Autocockers were great guns but there was alearning curve on shooting one.
I currently have 6 Autocockers... mostly Pawn shops selling them for $25. and a Bushmaster 2k.
My favorite gun is a grey Orracle (not misspelled) Autococker (without an electric trigger) with a 14" Ultralite barrel, VL Evolution (Egg), and compressed air.

BTW my current set up is a Dusted Silver Phantom VSC (Vertical Stock Class, Vertical ASA for the 12 gram and a horizontal feed tube I had customized to hold a lucky 13 rounds) with an ADCO E-Dot site. For Woodsball I got an old pair of camo pants and cut them up and sewed them up to make a removable custom gun ghillie. I need to get me a stock to steady my shots for those longer range eliminations in woods ball though.

I started about 13 years ago with pumps and my friends laughed at me when I got a semi... if you want to play in tournys you pretty much need a semi... those guys go through a case of paint a game.
Pumps were so much more accurate than the semi. Pump = Aim (you only have 10 shots loaded make them count) Semi-Auto = "Spray and Pray" (you have 290 shots plus 3000 in the pods on your back...)
I haven't played for about 5 years or about 100 lbs but I love it... I used to play paintball more than I play WoW now... ah fun times... I have to pop in sometime and rehash OLD stories.

I would come toting my pump shooting at a whopping 1 round a second or less (usually around 10 rounds a minute lol) versus those semis that can shoot upwards of 15 rounds a second... and win. :P God I love paintballing and using a pump makes it all the more fun.
I remember having a shoot out against my best friend, he shot over 200 rounds at me and i used 5 lol. My 5th round hit him right on his right eye as he popped out. When you think about it every paintball you fire is worth about 3 cents, he used over $6 trying to eliminate me yet I used only $0.15. Using a pump against semis requires allot more skill and is allot more fulfilling imo, and as you can see its cheaper too!
If anyone ever wants to talk paintball, share some stories or is looking for some tips look for me in vent... you may have a hard time getting me to shut-up because I am passionate about paintball! lol
