Raid: mALT Gruul / Mag-lootpinata-theridon

MALT 25 MAN RAID TIME - 4:00 SERVER EVERY SUNDAY.
There are very few "rules" associated with the mALT runs, but there are a few guidelines:
1. All gear is ROLLED by classes that want it, no matter if you are an Alt or a main.
2. [Dragonspine Trophy] is the exception to this rule. This item will ALWAYS go to a MAIN RAIDER first. This means your are a dependable member of Hamfist or LF1M. Once those people have acquired their DST it will go to roll for mains vs. alts just like everything else.
3. There is no stipulation of rolling for gear that is within your spec. If you have T4 Shoulders, and want the T4 shoulder token for PvP gear, you have the right to roll against someone who may not have gotten their T4 token yet. (not everyone has alts...but everyone has respec options) And if you are a healing priest and want dps gear, roll on it. The spirit of
mALT is to get gear not just for our alts, but get off spec gear that you may not be able to acquire in your normal raid.
4. I will STOP doing these events the minute I begin to get QQs
about who gets invites and who does not get invites. I've seen an
increasing number of people unhappy cause they didn't get in, or cause
they come every week and one week they don't get a spot. I do this for FUN...I do this for YOU.
5. I'm not inviting toons in blues and greens anymore. Go to Kara...get your gear, get your badge gear, THEN sign up for mALT 25 mans. Just cause it's mAlt, doesn't mean we LIKE repair bills. Kills should be quick and easy, and quick and easy just doesn't come with ppl in greens. I'm not an asshole...if you have a blue or 3 left...I can look past that..but seriously folks...no greens.
How Invites work:
1. Invite tanks
2. Invite healers
3. Invite necessary classes to complete the instance (ie Locks, mage tank ect.)
4. Invite 1-3 guild apps/non-raiding new guildies
5. Invite 1-2 main raiders for DST shots.
6. Fill in the remaining spots.
#6 is very hard for me...I try to be fair, and not make invites a popularity contest. If there's 6 dps psting me wanting in...I try to get those folks that were rdy previous weeks, but didn't get a spot in for that week.

I tend to sprint back to Gruul whenever its off CD and otherwise just run back as soon as the shatter itself happens. Prolly 3-4 seconds of run time either way. Ya its dps on the boss im missing, but its also peeps im not killing :D

Then as soon as the shatter went off I was hitting g (my SnD keybind) as I was running in. I tend to run far away to blow up the fewest people possible.
Understand btw on AR. its kinda like a pot then in that I wanna pop it early and often?

Yea, AR is a bit like pot in that sense. To use it as much as possible you should be popping early. But of course, aggro permitting.

I also tried to save my AR for when Maulgar was below 50% for max effect. But got nailed with a fear right after I hit it

Mag:
Felt like I got into more of a groove later in the fight so that being thrown around didn't mess up my rotation. Still needs a lotta work tho. I remember there was some trick I did here as well, Oh ya i was tryin to do that energy pooling thing you were talking about.

saedo — Mon, 07/14/2008 - 12:29There is no "max effect" with AR. You can pop it at the beginning or at the end, with or without other CDs, and it'd give you the same thing. You don't have a talent like Dirty Deeds.
Hmm purposely letting it fall off.. Depends how much time you wasted. I'd say probably bad. You lose more than you'd gain if you did it wrong.

For Al, Sinister Strike. No, just no. No no no no no. You're using daggers. Do not Sinister Strike. Backstab is your bread and butter. The only, ONLY excuse for using SS is if the mob is turned around, you can't move, and energy is gonna cap in the next tick. I will not believe this happened 17 times. Too much Evis too, probably. 5 I suppose could be once at end for priest, for warlock, for AR, and at end of Maulgar. Nah, still one too many for that scenario.
For Fitty, no WF? Looked like your group got a shaman. Even looked like your group had a WF totem out. Did you do double instant poison? Well, do deadly poison OH and nothing on the MH! Could've also probably used Shadowstep once more, but 5 is pretty decent.
