Voted, not that it will
starstalker — Wed, 07/30/2008 - 19:30Voted, not that it will matter a whole lot.
I chose the hardcore
Nhia — Wed, 07/30/2008 - 06:16I chose the hardcore raiding, but i cant honestly say for sure what will be happening in that time. Since I might be leaving the Navy soon, I am not sure where life will stick me. Hopefully somewhere w/ WoW so i can continue to play :)
Attempting to apply myself
Mavandon — Sat, 07/26/2008 - 10:17Attempting to apply myself these last three years of highschool and trying to get into a good college.
We'll see how that goes.
But i'll probably show interest in a 1-2 night raid.
WARNING: This post will probably contribute absolutely nothing to the conversation, it will only waste a few seconds of your life. Mavandon's shenanigans should not be taken by children 10 and under or adults over the age of 70.

Vulk — Thu, 07/24/2008 - 18:29I have no idea if I will be able to raid and if I can, I have no idea how many days I will be available. However, I want to come back to raid! God I miss raiding so much. I can only hope that classes and homework allow me to raid in the future :)

I picked 3 before I read
Sorahn — Thu, 07/24/2008 - 16:42I picked 3 before I read this thread, thinking it was more of a request for how many nights do we want schedule for raiding. If we choose to continue to do 4, that's fine. It can just be a bit daunting at times.
As a contrast to Gares, I really can only commit to raiding in the evening due to family stuff. The later the better, actually, as the later things get the more likely the wife & kids are winding down for the night. It's often hard for me to make 7 and it's why, unfortunately, I can almost never make Shihli's mount runs (even though I'd love to). On weekends , I'm on quite a bit during the day, but can literally be pulled at any given minute for family stuff so I don't sign up for those raids either . If they were later, I'd be all over them.
i know i can be on from
Caronte22 — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 17:10i know i can be on from monday-thursday

Well, my employment options
Ewiges — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 16:35Well, my employment options may change, but I would currently like to raid 4 nights a week. M-Thurs. The Friday raid always been a bugger for me. Would much rather have a thursday raid than a friday raid. Due to jobs, I may not be able to raid much at all.
I voted! "Raiding three
Ardea — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 11:39I voted!
"Raiding three nights. I would like to be part of a less frequent (3 nights a week) raid"
But it may turn into "I would like a less frequent (1-2 nights) 10-man raid." I have determined that my job bores me, so I may go back to school to re-educate myself... something non-computer/tech related...
I am leaning towards landscaping... or finish my degree in Civil Engineering.
Psychotic passion?
jaibyrd — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 11:03Psychotic passion? Perfectly partial and passionate. I like the 3 nights a week that are in the middle of the week right now. Though this summer so far has been a bit odd with just joining DF and trying to sort out old commitments and stuff I think the 3 pack in the middle of the week is perfect. I often have raided 4 nights a week but I think commiting to that on a regular basis might just actually be the tip of too much for me. Though I like to have the option to raid a 4th night as well.
Yes, I like to heal. No, I've never been shadow.
In short (tag-team with
Shihli — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:45In short (tag-team with Garreth, activate), the raid officers are giving everyone a chance to re-evaluate their raiding situation and choose an appropriate amount of time that they want to dedicate.
Not sure if you want to do 4 nights a week? That's fine, if you'd rather hit 25's 3 nights a week, say so. No one will think any less of you. Would you rather just do 1-2 nights a week in 10's? By all means go for it. Would you rather not raid at all? That's fine as well. It's your $16.13 a month, spend it as YOU see fit.
Me personally, for the time being I can continue to dedicate 4 nights a week. HOWEVER, if things transpire in my life that should change that, obviously I will change how I can dedicate myself. Your raid choice is NOT set in stone.
Just as an aside, G - When
Shihli — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:23Just as an aside, G -
When we say 100% attendance, that doesn't mean you can't ever miss a raid. Obviously that would be a bit insane ... "brb, can't fight Arthas right now, wife giving birth," is something we should never see (although it would be amusing).
When we say 100% attendance, that means that - barring odd circumstances - you shouldn't have to regularly miss a night of raiding. Suffice to say, if we keep our current schedule but you have, say, a chemistry lab class every Wednesday night from 6-10pm, that means you cannot dedicate yourself to the 4-night-a-week schedule.
Yarr, what Shihli said.
garreth — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:38Yarr, what Shihli said. Also, as an addendum to that, this is the schedule that you can make WITHOUT HATING YOUR LIFE AND BURNING OUT. It's one thing to raid a lot. It's another to raid alot and HATE it.
The goal for the new raids are consistent people whom love being there. I know more than a few of us kind of just raid because we think we "have to". I want Wrath to be that time where our old-timers can retire gracefully, while those with that psychotic passion to raid can get all they want.
Vote people, we need these results to determine how our new raids form up in Wrath.

I was curious. I have
Gares of War — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:23I was curious. I have often thought of afternoon raids. Typically, an evening raid is after work and people are weak from hunger and being at work. I always see myself running in Stormwind and thought my wow time could be better managed as funny as that may sound.
I'm basing this vote off of
garreth — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:18I'm basing this vote off of the current raid days/times of LF1M and Hamfist. Let's assume they stay the same.
And these are "I can 100% make these" kind of situations. The #1 goal in Wrath for our raids is absolute, no compromises consistency.

I certainly think raid times
Shihli — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:11I certainly think raid times will see restructuring come WotLK, but I don't know how they will change for sure.
Do you think a raiding
Gares of War — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 10:08Do you think a raiding future of Sunday or Saturday afternoon but not evening is possible? Like 12-4? I only hated weekend because of the 7-11 time.

2 things: 1) Raiding 3/4
Dufe — Wed, 07/23/2008 - 09:282 things:
1) Raiding 3/4 nights a week does not mean being a part of a raid that raids 3/4 nights a week, it means YOU raid 3/4 nights a week.
2) Add an option for Magic's 1-2 night/week 10-man proposal?
