Tell us a little about how your class contributes to a raid.:

Well as a hunter i have great threat management skills, aswell as the wonderfull ability to trap nearly every mob in-game.

Would it be a problem if you had to wait 3 weeks or 3 months to get into raid?:

I really wouldn't have a problem if i had to wait in turn for raids. As a new member in a high-end raiding guild it's only expected to let the veterans get their gear first, and that's completely reasonable. Also, when i'm not raiding i turn to pvp and heroics, which i find equally as fun.

List the instances you have experience in, and the farthest you have been in that instance.:

-Full kara clear -Every heroic / regular OL instances -Full gruul clear Basically as a hunter i dpsed to my fullest, and CC'd to the best of my ability.

What is your favorite 25-man BC Boss encounter, and why?:

Probably Gruul, not only his he the only 25man we've attempted as a guild, (aside from maulgar of course) but it was fun challenge and once he was downed we felt like we'd actually accomplished something.

What is your least favorite 25-man BC Boss encounter, and why?:

Probably Gruul, because even though we eventually took him down, i had the repair bills to prove it.

General Questions

well i wouldn't really consider any of my alts to be "pertinent", but i do have a 42 mage, and a 48 shaman twink, but as of now i don't plan on transfering them over.

Is this app for your main alone, or would you like to bring alts over as well?:

Why should we recruit you?:

-Well i've topped damage meters on a number of occasions. -Not to gloat, but i'd consider myself a top-notch-trapper. -I'm a friendly, and active person in-game and out.

Why have you chosen to apply to Downfall?:

I was told by a mage in the guild (i dont remember the name) that the guild was focused on community, and raiding. I'm transfering my toons over, and hoping to join the guild, not only to progress gear-wise, but meet new people, and make the most fun with my play-time.

What do you expect to get out of Downfall membership?:

I'm mainly hoping to meet new people, progress with the guild, and possibly improve my gear.

How do you feel you will contribute to the downfall community?:

I'll try my hardest to be a socially active guild member, and as helpfull as can be in cases of heroics and raids.

Do you have any references in Downfall?:

None at all.

How long do you intend to stay in Downfall?:

I havn't experienced the guild yet, but from what i've been told it sounds like exactly what i'm looking for.

What things might cause you to leave?:

I really have no idea as to why i'd leave Gorganash let alone the guild. i've been told it's renowned for it's great economy, battlegroup, and raid progression. The only reason i'm leaving my current server is because we lack in all of those fields.

i would only RARELY "miss" a raid, if something comes up i always take priority and notify the guild that i won't partake in the raid atleast two days in advance.

I'm comfortable with raid mods, they don't really get in my way, and if need be, i'm willing to change them.

I'm a fifteen year old caucasian male, i'm currently residing in Illinois, and i'm going to be a junior in highschool by the end of the summer. I also play unorganized softball here or there, so it wouldn't interfere with raiding.

Ok...just wanted to make sure that you understood that the application process takes time, you won't just be insta-invited cause you transfered. There are people that have waited upwards of 3 months or more for their invite.

Thank you for your application to Downfall. We are not currently recruiting for our 25 man MH/BT/SW raids. This does not mean that your application is or will be rejected. What it does mean, is that you will now be faced with a few tasks.

Downfall is a community first and foremost and a successful raiding guild second. First you need to ask yourself what it is you want from Downfall. If it's a spot in end game raid, and nothing more...then you may want to seek entry into another one of the many guilds on Gorgonnash.

If you desire a strong sense of community then get ready to work for it! When we talk about community, we aren't talking about the type of community that jumps when you say OMGRUNMYALTTHRUVC!!!! We're talking about a group for people who love this game we pour our lives into, people who will run things with you when they have time, people who may have their own special way of contributing to the community.

Now that you have applied (and if my wall of text didn't lose u 2 paragraphs ago), don't just sit there and hope someone will come hunt you down and say "HERE'S YOUR INVITE!!" because that simply will not happen. Those who gain entry into Downfall work for it. Members have waited upwards of 3 months or more to be part of our community. How do you ensure that you have every option to be the next addition?

Here's an idea:

Stay active on this thread, it's your application. You will receive feedback and recommendations. Don't take anything personal, if you can't take constructive criticism, you will never make it in guild chat. Applications are open to the entire community, not just officers, so if you were a douche to a member in the past, be ready for it to bite you in the ass.
If given goals to meet, make them.
Sign up for events you can make and which you are geared for. No need to sign up for MH/BT/SW, as those aren't testing grounds for new members. Focus on the Sunday Gruul/Mag run by yours truly or the Saturday SSC/TK run by Grasen.
If you sign up...show up. No one likes an app who signs up for all raids and never shows.
Download the raid pack. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT show up to a Gruul/Mag or SSC/TK without our required add ons. If you do not understand what you are looking at, then research it. If you still don't understand, post you're question and someone will help you. (If you think only bad players use mods, we can say our goodbyes right now)
Do everything you can to get your name out there, and show why you should be part of our community. Run 5 mans, Run 10 mans, participate in forum discussions.

If and when you are accepted into Downfall, you are strictly on a trial basis. If we invite you because you convinced us you were the worlds greatest healer/tank/random dps class, and you looooooooooove to run 5 mans...but you never run a thing, you never sign up for fun runs, and you burn out and don't sign on for 1+ months, don't be surprised if you find yourself guildless on log in one day.

It's very simple, don't say what we want to hear just to get in,
because it will haunt you in the end. Be honest, and we will be fair.

Along those lines, Paranoia found me online adn pst'd me for an H SP. He did quite well in his role as a hunter, and handled group leading far better than I would expect from a 15 year old. Keep looking for us and running things with us - you're headed the right direction.

I had a really fun time with this guy ganking horde in Tanaris last night. He's very generous and has already donated dozens of primals to our guild bank. Seems like the kind of person we'd like to have around.

But, as a hunter, you MUST know that there is very little end game available to you. Maybe, MAYBE, on the weekend T5 runs.

Well i'm back from my week-absence, back to school stuff mainly, but now i've returned and i'm ready to play :)

Thanks for the bump garreth, i understand that being a hunter doesn't entitle me to many endgame raids, but i wouldn't mind putting that asside considering in WotLK (which should be here in 2 months or so) a hunter could be more usefull than before. Although i do enjoy participating in raids, i wouldn't mind sitting on the bench and pvping untill WotLK is released :)

And for Derchlon, yes i do have a pve set, i've been pvping lately though, but from now on i'll make it a note to log off in my raid set ^_^
