Improved Divine Spirit

encounter's picture

encounter — Thu, 07/31/2008 - 15:48

I had a question about how I spec for healing, for the most part I spec into holy but I put points into disc so that I have improved divine spirit, I wanted some feedback on this.

So my question is,  should I continue to spec for improved Ds ?

just go CoH and save

Magic — Fri, 08/01/2008 - 05:19

just go CoH and save yourself the respec costs of your raid leader asking you to go back and get coh cause they are short chain heals that day.

CoH is powerful and a good way to keep your raid alive (make sure to check out the instant cast talent in Disc tree to boost performance).

Edit: Well some level between 70 and 80 anyway.

Imp. Spirit is nice, but so

Cisper — Thu, 07/31/2008 - 21:45

Imp. Spirit is nice, but so undervalued verse the power of Circle of Healing. It's like choosing for a Shaman Wrath of Air totem vs. Chain heal, its just too good to pass up.

Even with 2-3 Priests, CoH Is better just because, well, too put it simply, it's OP hax. If you want big solid heals, get a Paladin.

common consensus for raid

Keisjaa — Thu, 07/31/2008 - 18:02

common consensus for raid makeup is 1st priest goes to Imp DS(fra caster DPS etc) the rest go CoH

When you are doin BT and

jaibyrd — Thu, 07/31/2008 - 17:11

When you are doin BT and beyond its vital to be coh but if you are doing the stuff before that that spirit buff is always enjoyed by the dmg classes.  So you can go coh and try it out to see what its all about but remember its not vital till t6 content ;-)

Yes, I like to heal. No, I've never been shadow.

If you're going to be in

starstalker — Thu, 07/31/2008 - 15:55

If you're going to be in T6 content, then CoH is the way to go. If you're going to be in T4 content, DS might be better. T5/ZA, kinda goes both ways and more towards your style of play and what the raid needs.

CoH is generally more needed

Sorreah — Thu, 07/31/2008 - 15:51

CoH is generally more needed than DS i have been the DS priest for hamfist for a few weeks now and it does help out the raid

but 1 DS priest is the most any raid needs and they are always a luxury
