Aside from the basic DPS, traps are always helpful in an intense fight. Usually, my pet can help off-tank. And if the tank isn’t comfortable, I have no trouble pulling mobs and then dropping aggro. Probably the best moment (although it wouldn't work on most bosses) I've ever had in a raid was kiting the final boss from 20% after everyone else had died. Really, anyone that can judge a battle by the moment and act on a split second can be very beneficial to a raid’s success.

Would it be a problem if you had to wait 3 weeks or 3 months to get into raid?:

No. Really just looking for a good community to run along with (although raids would be nice...).

Why should we recruit you?:

Under the Blizzard Triple A Law (Azeroth Affirmative Action Law), guilds should extend encouraging "preferential policies" to minority groups. Simply put, you guys need more dwarfs. Every time I /who Downfall, I am shocked to see only two or three dwarven brothers in your ranks--this needs to change. For more expert opinion please turn to http://www.downfallguild.org/node/3756. But anyways, why should you recruit me aside from my dwarven heritage? Well not being a 70 yet means I kind of just shut up and listen to advice from others. I do what I am told. This is an opportunity to train and create your own hunter. I would be like a personally molded minion. I already understand basic hunter tactics and never really have to try that hard to keep up with groups in instances. Since my brother has told me you guys are pretty set on your hunters, I understand not being able to get in top raids. If you need, I would be happy to substitute in groups. I don’t mind helping out with quests. I also love PVP, so if you are organizing a group for a battleground, I would be ready for that as well. Really, as I said above, I’m just looking for membership in a good guild with a good community.

Why have you chosen to apply to Downfall?:

My brother enjoys all of your company just about every other night, so I thought I would get in on the fun. Downfall always seems to have something going on (instance or pvp). Btw, RogueRed is my brother.

What do you expect to get out of Downfall membership?:

Hopefully, I will finish my leveling to 70 (although this may happen before the application even gets noticed). Obviously, I will need gear so some instances would be nice. But really I want a group of friends that will be on when I am. More often than not, the people I group up with one day don't even remember me the next. Having a great guild like you guys would be amazing.

How do you feel you will contribute to the downfall community?:

I'll help where needed and try to be as active as you let me. I will also kill lots and lots of horde in the battlegrounds so each time they look up they see Downfall past their corpse.

As long as I am playing and as long as Downfall is around. (a long time)

School. My brother and lots of friends all manage to play in college just fine, so I don't see any problems. But this will be my freshman year away at college so I will have to get used to the schedule.

Not very often. Just let me know when they are and I'll schedule time out for them.

School, scheduled events, vacation (this stuff I'll let you know in advance). If it's something really important that just came up, like family or such, I will try to let the guild know asap.

Took Boel to Kara with us this past weekend, seems like a nice guy...then he is related to Roguered...so I'd expect nothing less. It was his first time to see the place and he handled it like a pro! (well with a few Nightbane MD issues...lol...but over all good performance!)

Thank you for your application to Downfall. We are not currently recruiting for our 25 man MH/BT/SW raids. This does not mean that your application is or will be rejected. What it does mean, is that you will now be faced with a few tasks.

Downfall is a community first and foremost and a successful raiding guild second. First you need to ask yourself what it is you want from Downfall. If it's a spot in end game raid, and nothing more...then you may want to seek entry into another one of the many guilds on Gorgonnash.

If you desire a strong sense of community then get ready to work for it! When we talk about community, we aren't talking about the type of community that jumps when you say OMGRUNMYALTTHRUVC!!!! We're talking about a group for people who love this game we pour our lives into, people who will run things with you when they have time, people who may have their own special way of contributing to the community.

Now that you have applied (and if my wall of text didn't lose u 2 paragraphs ago), don't just sit there and hope someone will come hunt you down and say "HERE'S YOUR INVITE!!" because that simply will not happen. Those who gain entry into Downfall work for it. Members have waited upwards of 3 months or more to be part of our community. How do you ensure that you have every option to be the next addition?

Here's an idea:

Stay active on this thread, it's your application. You will receive feedback and recommendations. Don't take anything personal, if you can't take constructive criticism, you will never make it in guild chat. Applications are open to the entire community, not just officers, so if you were a douche to a member in the past, be ready for it to bite you in the ass.
If given goals to meet, make them.
Sign up for events you can make and which you are geared for. No need to sign up for MH/BT/SW, as those aren't testing grounds for new members. Focus on the Sunday Gruul/Mag run by yours truly or the Saturday SSC/TK run by Grasen.
If you sign up...show up. No one likes an app who signs up for all raids and never shows. Be sure to send a tell to the raid leader so he/she knows you are available and ready to rock.
Download the raid pack. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT show up to a Gruul/Mag or SSC/TK without our required add ons. If you do not understand what you are looking at, then research it. If you still don't understand, post you're question and someone will help you. (If you think only bad players use mods, we can say our goodbyes right now)
Do everything you can to get your name out there, and show why you should be part of our community. Run 5 mans, Run 10 mans, participate in forum discussions.

If and when you are accepted into Downfall, you are strictly on a trial basis. If we invite you because you convinced us you were the worlds greatest healer/tank/random dps class, and you looooooooooove to run 5 mans...but you never run a thing, you never sign up for fun runs, and you burn out and don't sign on for 1+ months, don't be surprised if you find yourself guildless on log in one day.

It's very simple, don't say what we want to hear just to get in, because it will haunt you in the end. Be honest, and we will be fair.

Don't let him in!!!! Just kidding. I will say he reads the website as more than alot of our other members. He's always going, "So you downed such and such or how was this boss?". And yes he points out the fact that we have like 1-3 dwarves on at most times and then have 6-15 of the other races.

I've told him to hit up a malt kara or something once he hits 70, which at his pace should be sometime next week.
