Switching Toons for Wrath

Since I've been back at work these past two weeks I've done an insane amount of research on all the classes and specs that will be introduced in WotLK. All these changes are going to take a lot of getting used too, but I really think everyone in DF is capable of grasping the new class mechanics swiftly.
As of right now I'm not sure if I want raid as a Feral Druid anymore for Wrath. I'm not 100% on that conclusion, but I'm really thinking about. I've really focused on the Priest and Shaman talents as of late. All three trees look amazing to me for both classes.
Point blank...I love to heal. I think healing takes a huge passion and it takes a lot of skill to be an amazing healer. I'm still doing research on both Priests and Shaman at the moment to see the how well they'll perform in WotLK.
Also, I've really really been looking into Shadow Priests. One of the things that draws me to them for Wrath is that there aren't a HUGE amounts of changes as far as play style and I like that. I've always thought playing a shadow priest, although low on the dps meters, was extremely fun. The constant casting of DIFFERENT spells and you're not spamming just one or two buttons. I've been leveling a second priest on my spare time lately to go shadow for WotLK. I'm not sure if it'll be my main or not. We'll see when that day comes.

Pedran — Thu, 09/04/2008 - 06:54Honestly I'll probably be last to 80 on both my paladin and my priest. So as long as it isn't ret, I'll go whichever spec is needed on whichever toon as my main. I love healing, whether holy paly or priest (prefer priest.....) and I love tankadin and facemeltin.
So... meh. I just know I doubt I'll level a DK because if I do that I know I'll be last to 80.

But I do prefer to level a hunter which is really what's making me unsure. I've looked at the new mechanics and I heard CoH got nerfed...or something. I wouldn't really want to play a priest if I couldn't lolCoH.

Jorence — Wed, 09/03/2008 - 15:55I like healing, I'm good at it, but it's not something I want to do forever and ever. I plan on rerolling, again, to a DK. My shaman may or may not be resto at 80. But, I can guarantee she won't be elemental.
As for the deathknight, I've played with unholy and blood. I still like blood. Less down time, and plays more like a ret pally than anything.
With that said, I again plan on rerolling, however, what ever the guild needs is probably what I'll end up raiding on. I don't want to not raid and not talk with my guild every night. I would cry.

That said I love to play with my little warrior and am looking forward to whatever the game brings, it seems just when I think some part might possibly get boring BAM! POOF! something changes to make it more interesting again. I actually play 4 healers. priest/druid/pally/shammy but the others are for hanging w/ friends etc not for raiding. It is very possible I might start to play my mage, shad priest and hunter again but just for fun. And as for deathknights? I may get around to making one and lvling it at some point but I'm pretty sure that DK is not the only class that will be needed to lvl and to raid in the future so I'm staying with the one I love best. Jai.

The whole reason to take us over a prot war/protadin was the ability to be a good tank or an acceptable DPS. Now we cannot do that and warriors will have the same (possibly more) armor and HP than us, and none of our talents scale. But, we'll see. I've been leveling a fury warrior and am working on a resto shaman right now, so i should be ready for anything =P

The lack of information before on the rogues wonder whether to stick to it. Now some interest is back in it to see how this all plays out.
The Holy Pallies do seem a bit more interesting to play now. Though Beacon of Light isn't a HoT bomb anymore. More of a allow you to heal a focus target while healing others kinda thing. Not quite an aoe heal but does let you heal someone else without really straying from like say the MT. Or double up on their healing with it.
Anyways, still have to see how it all plays out by the time Wrath hits. Most likely, if not Beta, then patch 3.0 is where all the testing I'd be doing.
