Who is leveling to 80?

Hey Guys. I was just wondering who is leveling to 80 on there toons first before leveling a Death Knight? The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if it is better for me to just try and level a Death Knight so that I'm raid ready with everyone else. Or just level to 80 on my shaman. Also, is there any raiding plans for 80 as yet?

I'm wondering if anyone really need to be holy or resto anymore. I heard that with the gear even an enhancement shaman could be a good off healer. Well at lest it does need more testing. I don't know if I'll stay resto. I was hearing some shaman's complain about mana regen. I don't know if it just needs fixing or if these guys just don't know how to play or pot.

I have a shad priest on a diff server. Jai has never been shad but I do go disc and have a great time w/ that one. I love to lvl holy. It's really not such a hard thing to do. most quests are fine and if they get iffy it's usually at the point that a group is needed anyway. Now if the raid I raid with said 'hey Jai u gotta go shadow or sit on the bench forever' I would hitch up my britches and get some shad gear and do it BUT I would rather heal. I love healing and it makes me happy to do it. If I wanna melt faces I go get on my other priest and enjoy that too but jai is a healer and a healer she will stay. I guess you could say I'm a bit stubborn about it. ;-)

That's where all my NRP is going :DI still see enhance as being faster though even with a gear disadvantage as there is literally zero down time. I am sure I will spec back and forth a few times though to play with the new talents so its still up in the air but not having to drink at all + the ability to plow through mobs is just hax :P.

Remember that everything that was either spell dmg or healing turns into raw spell power in Wrath - so your T6 resto gear is going to be pretty rockin for elemental. In other words, unless you're NRP'ing like a mad-man, your elemental (resto) gearset probably dramatically outpaces your enhancement gear.

Aidin and Jaibyrd. I really think your should at lest try out your other specs. With all of the changes it might be fun to try them out. Also, its good to know we have a plan. I think i'm going to push my shaman to 80 first then go back for a DK or level my priest to 80. Then again, I may level them on an off so that I can maximize my rested XP.

This made me LoL :) When I'm not raiding I'm Prot (every Thurs-Mon)... and I have the following alts...

70 Rogue, 70 Mage, 62 Druid, 61 Warrior, 61 Priest, 40 Hunter, 36 Shammy, 34 Warlock...many many more...so I know my classes well.

Basically what it boils down to is...I'm a healer...that's what I do...that's what I'm good at. If I do any changing in Wrath, it will be from a healing pally to a healing shaman (that's if I get her to 70 before Wrath...and I decide it's cool enough to switch)

I am thinking that I will be lvling either olo or my druid before going back to zifter. DPS is always in high supply at first and having either a tank or healer will be much more enjoyable I think. Not that I am getting to play much with the new baby and all but I had two cents so I though I would give it.=)

I haven't decided (completely) if it would be worth keeping the healers healing and just have which ever DPS blow stuff up...

I'm not going to level a DK until 2-3 months in b/c I really don't want to deal with "QQ PVP SERVER, this Horde......." for fifteen levels flooded with deathknights of all races. Not to mention the first month in Eastern Plaguelands is going to make Shatt-lag look like a happy time.

I'm hoping to get some 5mans together for instancing in Northrend as the instance server are on another server, and as a Shadowpriest / Prot pally I won't stand much chance against ret pallies/rogues/shamans/etc during a lag spike.

Basic idea is something to the tune of 2-3 raids.

One raid is the "hardcore" 4-nights-a-week raid, the other is a "less hardcore" 3-nights-a-week raid.

Everyone gets about 5 weeks from release of WotLK to level to 80 and get ready for raids, at that point raids will be chosen. In some cases long-time raiders may get invited first, otherwise it's up in the air.
