Wouldn't mind switching to a tank spec if necessary though I'm not sure exactly what that build would require in terms of exact talent point spread

Tell us a little about how your class contributes to a raid.:

My class is primarily a meat shield for the rest of a raid. As a tank it is necessary that a warrior soak up as much damage as possible and keep the boss or mob away from the rest of raid so they can successfully dps it down with out dieing. That said warriors can also function as dps much like rogues but with more armor.

What role are you most comfortable/geared playing?:

DPS

Would it be a problem if you had to wait 3 weeks or 3 months to get into raid?:

It wouldn't bother me too much as my gear could use some major improvements. I would like to get going on the gear upgrades as fast as possible but time constraints limiting i can be as patient as i need to.

List the instances you have experience in, and the farthest you have been in that instance.:

Ive done on this character up to chess in Karazhan. I have a 70 mage on a different server that has cleared kara, mag, gruul, downed void reaver in tk, lurker in ssc, and rage winterchill in hyjal. Have attempted al'ar and leotheras as well. I have done a few pre bc raids, clear of mc and ony, and a little of bwl but thats about it. Ive been dps in all of those raids so far except mc when i offtanked (on the warrior of course).

What is your favorite 25-man BC Boss encounter, and why?:

My favorite bc boss has to be Lurker so far because i find it kind of funny that we have to fish him up to kill him. Well that and that its really satisfying to kill him because it feels good when the raid gets the timing down for that encounter. In other words its a fun and complex fight to me.

What is your least favorite 25-man BC Boss encounter, and why?:

My least favorite has to be prince in kara because even though his fight isnt too complicated it feels messed up that bad infernal drops can wipe a group. I dont like the random chance aspect of that fight.

Why should we recruit you?:

Im good at listening to directions. I have never had any problems with past raid leaders. I pay attention and i read the strats and watch vids of the current boss attempt before i raid. I'm a very prepared raider.

Why have you chosen to apply to Downfall?:

"well, i just recently moved here for one main reason: my previous server had nothing left to offer me, and after what my friend adoron has explained to me, this server and guild appears to be a place where i can really have some fun. i'm hoping that by applying to this guild (and hopefully getting as well), i can really experience some of the content this game has to offer, with the help of "professionals like you guys" (or so adoron said, haha). and with that, i firmly believe that i can have a great time in here with you guys, if you let me in =)."

What do you expect to get out of Downfall membership?:

I expect to get further in endgame content. Have a better understanding of my class as well. A good atmosphere is always nice.

How do you feel you will contribute to the downfall community?:

I have a good sense of humor. Plus im a focused raider that can get the job done. I don't tend to talk much (on vent) but i feel like im a good character type of guy.

unnecessary harrasing, some crude humor directed at me is okay and i dont take things like that too personally but i have to draw the line somewhere. Also i dont like apathetic behavior towards raiding which is what killed my past guild.

I have tanked before and even though im specced and geared for dps at the moment i wouldn't mind trying my hand at tanking again. Though it doesnt matter to me much as role isn't the most important thing to me.

The most would be maybe once or twice every two weeks.

What might the typical reasons for missing raid be?:

I play football for my high school so occasionally practices run a little long. Thats also why i cant raid wednesdays or fridays. Also occasionally homework might crop up but im normally pretty good at staying on top of things.

Furren has been showing up to !!1 raids and making a great showing for himself. After yesterday's run in which we had a full clear in under 4 hours with only 2 wipes (Prince, bad infernals, meh) I'd be fine throwing everyone who was there my recommendation. But what makes Furren stand out is his consistency and dependability. Not just showing up, but knowing exactly what you will get out of him when he shows up.

Thank you for your application to Downfall. We are not currently recruiting for our 25 man MH/BT/SW raids. This does not mean that your application is or will be rejected. What it does mean, is that you will now be faced with a few tasks.

Downfall is a community first and foremost and a successful raiding guild second. First you need to ask yourself what it is you want from Downfall. If it's a spot in end game raid, and nothing more...then you may want to seek entry into another one of the many guilds on Gorgonnash.

If you desire a strong sense of community then get ready to work for it! When we talk about community, we aren't talking about the type of community that jumps when you say OMGRUNMYALTTHRUVC!!!! We're talking about a group for people who love this game we pour our lives into, people who will run things with you when they have time, people who may have their own special way of contributing to the community.

Now that you have applied (and if my wall of text didn't lose u 2 paragraphs ago), don't just sit there and hope someone will come hunt you down and say "HERE'S YOUR INVITE!!" because that simply will not happen. Those who gain entry into Downfall work for it. Members have waited upwards of 3 months or more to be part of our community. How do you ensure that you have every option to be the next addition?

Here's an idea:

Stay active on this thread, it's your application. You will receive feedback and recommendations. Don't take anything personal, if you can't take constructive criticism, you will never make it in guild chat. Applications are open to the entire community, not just officers, so if you were a douche to a member in the past, be ready for it to bite you in the ass.
If given goals to meet, make them.
Sign up for events you can make and which you are geared for. No need to sign up for MH/BT/SW, as those aren't testing grounds for new members. Focus on the Sunday Gruul/Mag run by yours truly or the Saturday SSC/TK run by Grasen.
If you sign up...show up. No one likes an app who signs up for all raids and never shows.
Download the raid pack. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT show up to a Gruul/Mag or SSC/TK without our required add ons. If you do not understand what you are looking at, then research it. If you still don't understand, post you're question and someone will help you. (If you think only bad players use mods, we can say our goodbyes right now)
Do everything you can to get your name out there, and show why you should be part of our community. Run 5 mans, Run 10 mans, participate in forum discussions.

If and when you are accepted into Downfall, you are strictly on a trial basis. If we invite you because you convinced us you were the worlds greatest healer/tank/random dps class, and you looooooooooove to run 5 mans...but you never run a thing, you never sign up for fun runs, and you burn out and don't sign on for 1+ months, don't be surprised if you find yourself guildless on log in one day.

It's very simple, don't say what we want to hear just to get in,
because it will haunt you in the end. Be honest, and we will be fair.
