So I want to ask for some techie help from you guys.
Internet seems to be on the fritz. Some sites connect fine. Some sites connect very slowly. Some sites not at all. I assume this is probably some local routing problem, or half the internet is dead.
Anyways, anything I can do? Tried resetting modems, flushing DNS. Anything else besides just waiting for the problem to be fixed?
WoW also didn't connect at first, but seems working again. So I dunno, that could be on and off.

Find a site that you can't reach and try to ping it from the command prompt and see if it can resolve the name to an IP address. If it resloves the IP address, but the site doesn't respond, it's more likely that it's a routing issue.

Dufe — Fri, 09/19/2008 - 13:44In theory it could be the DNS server at your ISP having issues. You can go into your internet settings and point at a different one manually, but you'd need to find another one thats close, preferrably. Maybe get a friend with a different ISP to look up theirs and give it a try?
