I definitely prefered the uniquenss and utility of spirit link. It never worked from my understanding so I see this as "ZOMG Warhammer. Hurry Hurry Hurry. Git rid of that bugged spell and give them something generic."
Ok i've been playing with it in both pvp and 5 mans. This is a very solid spell. i got crits on the instant heal for 2k (going to macro it to my vial for nom nom nom 4k instant heal without using ns) I solo healed drekk with 3 warmasters up, prot pally ret pally shaman 3 man ftw. the new shaman is going to take a bit to get use to. we're not a spamm chain healer anymore you can make solid use out of almost every spell now. back to playing with it a bit more. If anyone wants to do 5s on the pvp ptr pst me on coresham.
I think it could turn out ok... It won't be as good as link but i can see some situations were a hot would work to our advantage. I'm thinking specificly of felmyst when you have time to prep for a mass amount of aoe damage... tos a few of these around and it'll make it easier to chain up your group after gas nova or encapsulate. we'll have to mess around with it a bit. I'm sure it'll have its uses.I'm updating my ptr to mess around with it i'll let you know what i find.
Still might be adjusted. But what if this was used more for helping MT healing? Cast this on the tank, chain off of him. And it costs 21% of base mana, vs 19% base mana using Chain Heal. (base mana is your mana when naked, will only change if you level up, not gear up) So it's not a huge difference.
Maybe it's a complete replacement for Healing Wave? 25% base mana. As long as you're still needed as an AoE healer while chaining off tanks.
2.- the efect is just stupid, dont worth 51 point of talents in resto.
3.-in raid is useless to used it cuz is like mana burn, if i use it with CH the cost is 1k of mana and more if u dont have T6.
4.-the Overhealing in a shammy was high before and now with this, the healer shammy was really good, we dont need an other crapy ability to use more mana and the efect/cost is stupid.
And this isn't technically a nerf from the point of view of live. It's an ability that they tinkered around with and decided to not go with. It's like complaining about Mass Rez, Shadow Strikes (old rogue ability which would've been uber dps), and now old Deadly Brew version (used to be straight up 500 dps for 2 talent points, remarkable op compared to anything else).
Remember, I was the "I'll Never Play My Pally Again" guy after the Illumination nerf.

but in in raid 25 or 10 doesnt work, that spell is really expensive in mana and only for 25% more healing in CH in one cast and is 1130 without crit(crit 1600, i have 1314 bonus healing ) in Riptide and 4600( crit for 6800 - 7000)for CH on this target with Riptide, only for this, shamans ll use like 1k of mana ..... more overhealing? plz........
Heals a friendly target for 481 to 519 and another 500 over 15 sec sec. Your next Chain Heal cast on that primary target within 15 sec sec will consume the healing over time effect and increase the amount of the Chain Heal by 25%. (21% of base mana, 40 yd range, Instant cast, 6 sec cooldown)
So I guess it's a HoT that turns your chain heal into a Swiftmend?
