I love playing WOW with all you guys. I love doing 5 mans, Kara, mALT, and since Atar has been letting me go to BT I have fallen in love with end game content. BUT, I now have a problem.
Our family has 2 houses, a lake house and a country house. We have been living in the Lake house and I have DSL here; however, Mom and Dad want to move back into the country house. I can only get Dial-up at the country house. I'm still going to try and play some so I don't fall too far behind. We'll only be there for 2 to 3 months.
Basically, how much I play in the coming months depends on how bad I lag on Dial-up. I'm hoping I'll still be able to quest to get to 80 in WOTLK because I really want to raid in the expansion.
As far as raid Fail Still goes, I know I'm not going to be able to make it on Mondays because I'm on the East Coast and I won't be able to be at Atar's house that night becuase I have school in the morning and I can't be driving everywhere at midnight. Saturdays I'm going to try my best to be there.
BTW, if anyone has ever played WOW on dial-up and knows a way to reduce lag, please tell me.
And just for the record, these are some things I have and want to complete before WOTLK comes out.
COMPLETED
Replace my s2 staff and still be hit capped.
Mage Tank
See (and now downed) Illidan and every boss in BT.
See Archimonde.
Get atleast 1 piece of t6 (I currently have 2 pieces).
Lvl both professions to 375 (tailoring and enchanting)
NOT COMPLETED
Replace my Spellfire Set
Get an epic flying mount
Lvl one alt to 70
Kill Vashj and Kael'thas (I've never been inside SSC or TK)
Get exalted with Cenarion Expedition to get Ayshen's Gift.
Obtain either Wub's Cursed Hexblade or Scryer's Blade of Focus.
Having enough money and gear to regem everything and go arcane and be EFFECTIVE in a raid.

now do you understand why we all laugh at atar when he crys about lag??? lolz

darkwolf — Sat, 10/04/2008 - 11:05i know right, it teachs u to play better because u learn to anticiapte things. the only thing ive seen that cant be done on 56k is like 25 man raids and bgs where all the effects from the diff players are on screen at once. o well back to go find nitequill.

darkwolf — Sat, 10/04/2008 - 09:11well i lvled 1 - 70 on 56k and healed in a kara on 56 k granded i wasnt the most effective healer but i still healed so im sure u will be able to lvl and do instance with little or no problem.
