A glimpse into the IT side of my job...

My job title, as you can see from the attached picture, is Human Resources Coordinator. However, considering that I work at a small-ish non profit and have half a brain about computer and technology related things, I also get to do IT work about 50% of my time. I don't mind it so much; I think learning about basic networking stuff and being generally perceived as the most knowledgeable person at my agency for computer-geek stuff is pretty cool. But, it also means that If I am the smartest they got...well, it just goes downhill from there. Case in point:

What I love the most about
Ewiges — Mon, 10/13/2008 - 14:37What I love the most about firefox is you can download the IE app. Basically, this is a one button click where you can open a page in IE within Firefox. I find this very helpful when I run into programs that Firefox refuses to open.
Just to be clear, that addon
Dufe — Mon, 10/13/2008 - 15:15Just to be clear, that addon you're referring to uses the full IE engine to access/render the page, bypassing any added security from No-script or any other Firefox features/addons.
As an add, the one element
Dufe — Mon, 10/13/2008 - 11:09As an add, the one element of Firefox that is the most highly lauded in the cyber security realm isn't actually built in. The "No-Script" addon, available only for Firefox, will do more for your web browsing security than any other single peice of software available. No kidding. White-list based security software like this one will always provide superior protection versus heuristic or black-list based software.
